Verification of Condition. The Employer reserves the right to require verification of an associate's condition by a physician as a condition of payment of the sick leave claimed, if the associate is absent three (3) or more consecutive scheduled work days, or if the Employer has reasonable doubt as to the associate's ability to return to work. The Employer may also require physician verification of an illness where there is demonstrable reason to doubt the legitimacy of an illness. Such requests for verification shall not be made arbitrarily or capriciously, nor shall they be used to harass associates.
