Veterans Hiring Preference. Anyone applying for a POA represented position with the City who has been honorably discharged from the military and receives a passing score of 70% or more will be given five additional points on testing for new hires. The five additional points will be added to the applicant’s final score at the conclusion of all testing. All of the City’s other policies on testing for new hires will apply. Proof of DD Form 214 will be required for an individual to take advantage of this provision.

Veterans Hiring Preference. (FTA CLAUSE) Applies to all Contracts except micro-purchases ($10,000 or less, except for construction contracts over $2,000) The Interurban Transit Partnership – The Rapid are recipients of federal financial assistance in this contract. The contractor shall give a hiring preference, to the extent practicable, to veterans (as defined in section 2108 of title 5 CFR) who have the requisite skills and abilities to perform the construction work required under the contract.
