Common use of Voluntary Leave of Absence Clause in Contracts

Voluntary Leave of Absence. (a) Voluntary Leave of Absence – When the requirements of the Company permit, an Employee upon written request through the Employee’s immediate supervisor may be granted a voluntary leave of absence without pay for legitimate personal reasons. Except in cases of emergency, written requests for voluntary leave of absence must be submitted at least one month in advance of the requested leave. (b) The granting of leave is at the sole discretion of the Company, however, requests will be considered in order of seniority among those outstanding at the time of granting. (c) The seniority of an Employee will continue to accrue during the full period of the leave.
