Christmas or New Year's Day Off The Employer agrees to make every reasonable effort to ensure that employees required to work shift shall have at least Christmas Day or the following New Year's Day off.

on Saturday 3 From 1 January 2016, the allowance for working irregular hours referred to in Article 4.7.3 shall also be paid during holidays. The employer shall determine an average amount for this payment on the basis of the allowances paid in the twelve calendar months preceding the month in which the employee takes holidays. Christmas/New Year’s Scheduling K-1 Employees will receive at least five (5) consecutive days off at Christmas or New Year's. The Hospital will provide time off from the completion of the night shift the day before the holiday that the Employee is granted (either Christmas Day or New Year's Day). Christmas will include Christmas Eve Day, Christmas Day, and Boxing Day and New Year's will include New Year's Eve Day and New Year's Day. Where an Employee requests not to be scheduled off five (5) consecutive days at Christmas or New Year’s, such an Employee is to put her/his request in writing to the Clinical Manager.
Saturday and Sunday Work Week: Five (5) consecutive days per week, Sunday to Saturday. Work Day: Seven and one-half (7 1/2) hours to be scheduled within the hours of operation.
