Withholding of Contributions. Contributions shall be withheld from employee salary on a pre-tax basis, except for employees on disability, in which case contributions will be withheld post-tax. Positive pay employee contributions shall be taken in arrears, based on the prior month’s hours worked. Positive pay employees paid semi-monthly, will have the whole month’s contributions withheld from the second warrant during each monthly pay period. 1. Employees with a single hourly appointment shall have contributions withheld only up to the amount that would have been deducted had the employee held a full-time appointment. 2. Employees with an appointment subject to OPEB prefunding and an additional appointment in a bargaining unit not subject to OPEB prefunding, shall have contributions withheld only from the appointment subject to OPEB prefunding. 3. Employees with multiple appointments subject to OPES prefunding shall have contributions computed by combining all subject appointments, provided the results do not exceed the amount earnable in full-time employment, as follows: a. Employees with a full-time appointment and an additional appointment (e.g., hourly), shall have contributions withheld from the full-time appointment only. b. Employees with multiple part-time or hourly appointments, shall have contributions withheld from any/all appointments, up to the amount that would have been deducted had the employee held a full-time appointment. If an employee has multiple hourly appointments, the highest pay rate will be used to compute what the deduction would be if the employee held a full-time appointment at that pay rate. For employees with a part-time and hourly appointment, the deduction amount will be computed based upon the part-time appointment’s pay rate.

  • Contributions to Capital (a) The minimum initial Capital Contribution of each Limited Partner will be $100,000 or such other amount as the General Partner determines from time to time. The amount of the initial Capital Contribution of each Partner will be recorded by the Partnership upon acceptance as a contribution to the capital of the Partnership. Each Limited Partner’s entire initial Capital Contribution will be paid to the Partnership immediately prior to the Partnership’s acceptance of the Limited Partner’s subscription for Units, unless otherwise agreed by the Partnership and such Limited Partner. (b) The Limited Partners may make additional Capital Contributions effective as of those times and in amounts as the General Partner may permit, but no Limited Partner will be obligated to make any additional Capital Contribution except to the extent provided in Sections 5.4 and 5.5 of this Agreement. Each additional Capital Contribution made by a Limited Partner (other than a contribution made pursuant to Section 5.3 or Section 5.5 of this Agreement) will be in the minimum amount of $25,000 or such other amount as the General Partner determines from time to time. (c) A General Partner may make additional Capital Contributions effective as of those times and in such amounts as it determines, and will be required to make additional Capital Contributions from time to time to the extent necessary to maintain the balance of its Capital Account at an amount, if any, necessary to ensure that the Partnership will be treated as a Partnership for U.S. federal income tax purposes. Except as provided in this Section 5.1 or in the Delaware Act, no General Partner will be required or obligated to make any additional contributions to the capital of the Partnership. (d) Subject to the provisions of the 1940 Act, and except as otherwise permitted by the General Partner, (1) initial and any additional Capital Contributions by any Partner will be payable in cash or in Securities that the General Partner, in its absolute discretion, causes the Partnership to accept, and (2) initial and any additional Capital Contributions in cash will be payable in readily available funds at the date of the proposed acceptance of the contribution. The Partnership will charge each Partner making a Capital Contribution in Securities to the capital of the Partnership an amount as may be determined by the General Partner to reimburse the Partnership for any costs incurred by the Partnership by reason of accepting the Securities, and any charge will be due and payable by the contributing Partner in full at the time the Capital Contribution to which the charges relate is due. The value of contributed Securities will be determined in accordance with Section 7.3 of this Agreement as of the date of contribution. (e) An Advisor may make Capital Contributions and own Units in the Partnership and, in so doing, will become a Limited Partner with respect to the contributions. (f) The minimum initial and additional contributions set out in paragraphs (a) and (b) of this Section 5.1 may be increased or reduced by the General Partner from time to time. Reductions may be applied to all investors, individual investors or to classes of investors, in each case in the sole discretion of the General Partner.

  • DEDUCTIONS FROM SALARY A. The Board agrees to deduct from teachers' salaries unified membership dues for Xxxxxxxxx County Teachers Association, the Maryland State Education Association and the National Education Association as said teachers individually and voluntarily authorize to deduct through an appropriate written authorization form prepared by the Association and approved by the Human Resources Division. The Board agrees to transmit such monies promptly to the Association. 1. Deductions shall be made in twenty (20) equal installments beginning in August and ending in June of each year. For new enrollees, deductions shall be made in sixteen (16) equal installments beginning in October. The Board will not be required to honor any authorizations that are delivered to it later than fifteen (15) working days prior to the distribution of the November payroll, except for authorized deductions for first-year teachers, delivered after the distribution of the November payroll whose deductions will be made in equal installments computed in accordance with the number of pay periods remaining in that school year. 2. The Association will certify to the Board in writing the current rate of membership dues. The Association will give the Board thirty (30) days written notice prior to the effective date of any change in the rate of dues. 3. No later than October 1 of each year, the Board will provide the Association with a list of those teachers from whom dues were deducted on the first payroll. The Board will provide a similar list from the November 15 payroll not later than December 1. 4. In the event that a teacher terminates employment, the Board shall deduct the balance of the unpaid dues for the current membership year from the teacher's final pay check and transmit these dues promptly to the Association. B. Payroll deductions will be available at the request of the teacher for the plans listed below and XXXXX. Except in case of an emergency, the Board shall distribute all monies from payroll deduction accounts to the proper recipients within ten (10) workdays of its deduction following the pay date. 1. 403(b) and 457(b) Programs A list of companies authorized to offer 403(b) and 457(b) products to the employees of the Board will be made available to all employees by September 1 of each fiscal year beginning July 1. The number of authorized companies for which payroll deductions will be made will be determined by the insurance council. The insurance council will recommend a number of providers deemed sufficient to provide an adequate array of eligible investment products for the benefit of all employees. In order to be eligible for inclusion on this authorized list, the companies must meet the following criteria: a. A company must submit a written explanation of their company background, administrative capabilities, products and services for consideration by the insurance council. b. The insurance council will recommend to both the Board and the Association companies that should be on the authorized list. c. When a new company is added to the list before payroll begins, the company must initially sign up a minimum of ten (10) employees. Once the minimum number of employees is signed up, payroll deductions will begin as soon as practical. Approved service-fee based providers must sign up additional employees following the minimum participants schedule listed below for the first three (3) years: Year 1 – minimum of 15 employees Year 2 – minimum of 30 employees Year 3 – minimum of 50 employees After year three (3), if at any time an approved service-fee based provider drops below fifty (50) employees participating in its program for six (6) consecutive months during the school year, it will be dropped from the authorized list of companies at the end of the particular fiscal year in which such event occurs. No- load based providers will not be required to maintain a minimum number of participants due to the lack of on-site marketing. d. At any time the service-fee based company fails to meet this requirement by decision of the insurance council, it can be dropped from the list of authorized companies. At any time, a company fails to comply with IRS regulations, by decision of the insurance council, it can be dropped from the list of authorized companies. 2.   • Rollover Contributions A rollover is a tax-free distribution of cash or other assets from one retirement program to another. There are two kinds of rollover contributions to an IRA. Xx one, you contribute amounts distributed to you from one IRA xx another IRA. Xxth the other, you contribute amounts distributed to you from your employer's qualified plan or 403(b) plan to an IRA. X rollover is an allowable IRA xxxtribution which is not subject to the limits on regular contributions discussed in Part D above.
