Junior High teachers shall be permitted an aggregate of five (5) preparation periods per week, with the exception of Band, Chorus, Art and Librarian. No teacher shall be assigned to more than thirty (30) minutes.

Teachers are expected If the teacher receives a seventh (7th) class assignment, the teacher shall be compensated an amount equal to be available to students during that set period at school unless special permission from administration is grantedone-eighth (1/8) of his/her salary for a full year or one-sixteenth (1/16) for a semester course.

When the schools are closed to students due to for any reason deemed appropriate by the above conditionsadministration other than as a result of a strike, employees work stoppage or slowdown, no Teacher shall not be required to report to work; and in such cases, no loss of salary or benefits shall occur. In the event a substitute teacher has reported to work, the absent Teacher will be charged with the appropriate paid leave day, or portion thereof. In any such case, when extra-curricular schedules are not canceled, the Teacher(s) responsible for duty.
13.6 In addition supervision of the extra-curricular activity shall attend such activity. On days deemed to the four (4) in-service be remote learning days scheduled each yearfor students, teachers will have two (2) additional days of in-service programs, with the departure time on such days no later than 4:15 p.m. On days of in-service programs early dismissal of students will be scheduled.
