Work Schedule Differential. An employee not working the first shift shall receive, in addition to their base rate of pay, additional compensation as follows: Second Shift Differential - $.35 per hour Third Shift Differential - $.40 per hour Such compensation shall be added to the total wages and does not increase the base rate of pay and will be paid for all regular hours worked on a shift. Employees who work overtime continuous with their work schedule shall not be entitled to the differential rate for the period on which they are working overtime but shall continue to receive their regular differential rate to which they are entitled. A person's starting time on a given day shall determine their shift for that particular day. The first shift is any shift that begins on or after 3:00 a.m., but before 11:00 a.m. The second shift is any shift that begins on or after 11:00 a.m., but before 7:00 p.m. The third shift is any shift that begins on or after 7:00 p.m., but before 3:00 a.m.
