It is agreed and understood that RPNs, when required to orient other RPNs, will receive a bonus of sixty cents (60¢) per hour for such orientation. Such orientation shall normally be performed by a high seniority employee. Nursing Staff b. No employees shall be scheduled to work more than two (2) different shifts in one work week without a change break of at least sixteen (16) hours. Employees coming off the night shift shall have a break of at least thirty-two (32) hours before starting a new shift. It is contemplated understood that this is subject to the availability of staff. All efforts will be made to maintain the above breaks. c. No employee shall work more than seven (7) consecutive days (and the Employer will endeavour to schedule an employee to work no more than five (5) consecutive days) and more than twenty (20) shifts in this practice, before any four (4) week period. Employees may exchange working days and days off providing such change is implementedapproved by the supervisor and providing that no overtime will be paid as a result of such change. d. The Employer shall arrange shifts so that each employee shall have at least two (2) free weekends in every four (4) week period. 9.04 A part-time employee will be committed to work additional days upon request by the Employer, specifically during the summer months and at the Christmas-New Year period to replace a full-time employee. The Employer will discuss recognize the matter with integrity of the Union to explore possible alternativespart-time position and will not make unreasonable requests for additional work by part-time employees.

Unreasonable or consistent refusal by a part-time employee to work additional days upon request may result in disciplinary action. 9.06 Part-time employees shall not be paid at two dollars ($2.00) less than used to deprive full-time employees of the starting rate of pay, but no less than the minimum wage. During this orientation the maximum allowable hours where reasonably possible. 9.07 An employee shall be an extrapaid overtime at the rate of one and one-half (1½) times her straight time hourly rate for all hours worked: a. in excess of seven and one-half (7½) hours on any work day; b. in excess of seven and one-half (7½) hours worked consecutively; c. in excess of seventy-five (75) hours worked in any two (2) week period unless hours or shifts in excess of seventy-five (75) hours are a result of a mutual shift exchange. 9.08 All overtime must be authorized by the supervisor, and a call-in is deemed to constitute such authorization. It is agreed and understood There shall be no pyramiding of overtime and/or premium pay under any provision of this Agreement. 9.09 There shall be a master schedule in each facility covered by this Agreement, covering all but unscheduled part-time employees.
