Common use of Work Week and Work Day Clause in Contracts

Work Week and Work Day. The work week shall consist of forty hours 3 commencing at 0000 hours on Sunday and continuing through 2359 hours on Saturday. 4 The normal work day shall consist of eight consecutive hours, plus an unpaid meal 5 period of one-half hour (subject to management approval, coordinator positions may 6 take up to one hour). Where mutually agreeable to the Agency and the nurse 7 concerned (on a posted work schedule to posted work schedule basis), a normal work 8 day may consist of alternate shift lengths as defined in Section 8.5 or short shifts as 9 defined in Appendix G. Nothing in this or any other provision of this Agreement 10 constitutes a minimum guarantee of work.
