WORKING CONDITIONS. A. Under normal circumstances, employees shall perform those duties as defined in the appropriate job description with the following exceptions: 1. In the absence of the building principal or their designee, it is clearly understood that clerical staff shall not be held accountable for the administration of the building. WORKING CONDITIONS. A. The 26.01 All full-time classroom teachers' workday , including Special Education (including Resource and ABLE) who deliver credits, will be assigned time-tabled duties consisting of credit courses, credit-equivalent courses, TAP, worked on-calls, supervision, and remedial time to reach a 6.67 eligible program workload as defined in the Regulations made under the Education Act. When teachers are required to participate in night parent-teacher conferences they shall be student support granted released time and non-instructional within the same calendar week equal to the time as assigned by scheduled for the principal/designeeconferences. a. WORKING CONDITIONS. A. 15.1 Morning duty, Recess duty, and any other non-classroom duties which are necessary for maintaining a well-run school and assuring the safety of the students will be considered part of the regular work day for teachers. Before August 15 the Building Principals shall meet with the President of the Association or his/her designee to discuss the proposed duty schedule for the coming school year. All non-classroom duties will be assigned fairly as is practicable by the administration, among the teachers assigned to each building as scheduling permits. Teachers will be notified of any permanent, non-emergency change to the duty schedule during the school year at least five (5) days in advance. Teachers whose teaching assignments are in more than one building shall not be assigned duties. 15.2 The teachers' "normal" on-site workday for members shall begin fifteen (15) minutes prior to the beginning of the student day until fifteen (15) minutes after the close of the student day as set forth by board Policy for the 2002-2003 school year. While all teachers are expected on occasion to carry on on-site obligations outside the normal workday, it is understood that these occasions will not be so frequent as to be considered part of the usual daily routine. WORKING CONDITIONS. A. Employee Preparation Time Employee preparation time shall be used solely for teacher planning. The District shall not exceed 1,500 require an employee to schedule parent conferences, student conferences, or other duties during preparation time. An employee who is required by the District to utilize preparation time for matters other than preparation time or who does not receive his or her total allocation shall be compensated for such lost time at his or her per diem rate, provided that in the event an employee receives less than thirty (30) minutes per preparation time the employee will be compensated for a full preparation period. On days when regular 5class time is reduced because of assemblies, half-day workweekinservice, or grading time, teachers’ prep times will be reduced proportionately to the reduction in each class period. The District shall provide a portion of preparation time to an employee who is contracted as .5 FTE or more per week but less than full time. The portion shall be prorated based on the ratio of the employee's scheduled workweek to the normal full-time workweek. For an elementary employee such proration shall be in 30-minute blocks, but the provision that such blocks shall be provided during the student contact day shall not apply. In the case of teachers sharing a position, however, preparation time shall be assigned to the position and shared as determined by the bargaining unit member District. The District will provide the following extended contract days: Media Teachers 5 Days Elementary Team Leaders 2 Days Middle School Team Leaders 2 days High School Department Coordinators 2 Days High School Site Council Chair/Facilitator 2 Days School Counselors 2 Days The District will provide up to plan classroom lessons/programsa total of 90 days of substitute coverage for special education instructors who need assistance in completing special education documentation. Requests for assistance may be initiated by a staff member. The District will determine which requests will be approved. Outside Employment An employee may hold jobs other than with the District as long as they do not interfere with their contractual work responsibilities. Elementary Class Loads No later than the third week of school each elementary principal will review all situations where elementary teacher class loads, collaborate with colleaguesincluding specialists, review student work, meet with studentsexceed District Policy standards, and communicate/meet with parents. c. Subject will consider options including: Reallocation of current building resources. Adjustment of class sizes within the building. If options a and b are not feasible, the principal will make a request to the provisions herein, planning time shall include a continuous block of time of no fewer than 40 minutes which shall be scheduled on at least 4 days during a regular 5-day workweek with appropriate District office for additional resources. For the balance of such planning time scheduled during the remainder life of the workweek. d. contract the District will provide $300,000 each year in an overload elementary classroom account. No later than October 15 the District will complete a review of all requests and will prioritize those requests and will allocate resources available to the highest priority needs. The primary purpose of the fund will be to hire additional teachers; however, if the District determines that instructional assistants would be more appropriate to the needs, in a specific situation, some of the fund may be used for additional instructional assistant time. If directed by the principal/designeeappropriate District office denies any request for additional resources, the District, at the school's request, shall provide the reason in writing. Upon Association request, the District will provide the Association with a report on the status of the elementary overload teacher account. Peer Assistance The District will offer peer assistance when reasonable and practicable to any teacher it determines to have a deficiency specified in ORS 342.865 (1) (a), (d), (g), or (h). The District may also offer peer assistance under any other circumstance it deems appropriate. The teacher who will receive the peer assistance shall perform "spot sub" duty have input into the person(s) or other assigned work agency who will provide the assistance. Participation in peer assistance is voluntary. Both the teacher offered assistance and the person asked to provide the assistance may refuse to participate with no adverse consequences or penalty. Participants in peer assistance will be notified of available resource (including meetings called by i.e. release time, etc.) prior to implementation of the principal/designee) during assistance plan. Subject to the provisions herein, planning time shall include a continuous block of time of no fewer than 40 minutes which shall be scheduled on at least 4 days during a regular 5-day workweek with the balance of such planning time scheduled during the remainder of the workweek. d. These documents must be on file in staff personnel file. ii. Based on program needs, an administrator will designate individuals to provide substitute services. They will also determine when and where these services are needed. d. Requests/Paperwork i. Compensation will be provided for duty preapproved by the Principal or designee. a. Such time shall include any passing time and may include any "duty" assignments; Advisory/Academy periods; traveling between buildings; participating in team meetings, JEP/IAT meetings, parent meetings, and other meetings called ii. WORKING CONDITIONS. A. The teachers' workday 16.01 Time for which DECEs are paid outside of the instructional day where DECEs are not on scheduled breaks or engaged in scheduled supervision shall be 7½ used for professional activities related to the Early Learning Program. 16.02 Each full-time DECE shall be entitled to a scheduled time period of thirty (30) consecutive minutes each day for an unpaid lunch break, free from assigned duties. 16.03 Each full-time DECE shall be entitled to the equivalent of two (2) fifteen (15) minute paid breaks for each working day. The general intent of the Board is to schedule all breaks outside of instructional time and the Board will endeavor to schedule in this way. However, there are circumstances where it may not be possible and the Board will advise the union of its rationale in these circumstances. 16.04 The working year shall be the school year as approved by the Ministry of Education including all professional activity days. 16.05 The scheduled working day for all permanent DECEs will consist of seven (7) hours per day day, thirty-five (2,250 minutes 35) hours per regular 5-day workweek), which shall include a 30-minute block of time per week. The scheduled working day for duty-free luncha daily occasional DECE will consist of a maximum of 6.5 hours per day. B. Instructional 16.06 DECEs are expected by the Board to work in excess of their regular scheduled day for the fall open house and spring orientation night. In recognition of this, lieu time shall be granted in blocks of one-half (i.e. instructing 1/2) day for each event or one full day for both events. This lieu time will be taken on Board designated days during the school year. The Board will designate two (2) days for this purpose throughout the year from November to June. Lieu time will not be carried over from year to year. Where a DECE has been requested and pre-authorized by the Principal to attend scheduled meetings (eg. meetings with outside agencies) that cannot be scheduled within the regular scheduled working day during the school year, the DECE will be paid at straight time from the school’s budget. 16.07 The Board shall reimburse a DECE in accordance with the Board’s Travel and Expense Reimbursement Policy for any courses, conferences or workshops attended by the DECE at the request of the Board. 16.08 DECEs required to travel on Board business will be paid in accordance with the Board’s Mileage Reimbursement Procedure. 16.09 DECEs may participate in extra-curricular activities on a voluntary basis. 16.10 A DECE may be expected to participate in the supervision of students no more than two hundred and forty (240) minutes/week. Duties will be assigned in a fair and equitable manner amongst all DECE staff. It is understood that such duties are considered part of the workday. In the event that the Board requires additional supervision time to be performed by a DECE, the Board and the Union agree to meet to discuss the supervision schedule to deal with the circumstances at that location. Any duty assigned before the school bell, after the school bell and/or during nutrition breaks (regardless of the activities of the students) shall not exceed 1,500 minutes per regular 5-day workweek. Assigned tutoring responsibilities, excluding Advisory assignments at the middle school and Academy assignments at the high school, will be considered instructional time counted towards the total supervision minutes for the purposes of Section C. of this Articleweek. All duty minutes shall be listed on a duty schedule. C. Planning time 16.11 In the event of a medical emergency, a DECE will perform such procedures to the best of their ability as are necessary for the safety and well being of the child. No DECE, however, is required to carry out medical/physical procedures as part of his/her regular duties. It is an expectation that a DECE will support students with independent toileting. 16.12 All DECEs are required to maintain his/her registration with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE). All fees are the responsibility of the DECE. 16.13 A DECE whose work assignment involves two (2) or more work locations shall not be less than 20% of expected to travel between work locations during the teacher's assigned instructional time per 5- day workweeklunch break. a. Attendance at such meetings will be discussed with the School Principal. DECEs will be included in the sharing of any information arising from such meetings, and other meetings called by the principal/designee; time to plan classroom lessons/programs; consult with colleagues; review student work; meet with students; and communicate/meet with parents. b. Teachers traveling between buildings shall not lose planning time nor lunch time due to travel between buildings. c. Middle School Teachers (6-8) shall have five (5) unassigned preparation periods per week of approximately forty-five (45) minutes each. c. Fourth and fifth grade Teachers shall have 215 minutes of unassigned preparation time periods per week during the student day for the duration of the contract. At Xxxxxx Elementary Teachers shall not exceed 1,500 be required to attend more than one curriculum-related meeting per week called by the administration. d. Kindergarten through third grade Teachers shall have 215 minutes of unassigned preparation time per regular 5week during the student day for the duration of the contract. At Xxxxx and North Pennfield Teachers may not be required to attend more than two curriculum-day workweek. Assigned tutoring responsibilities, excluding Advisory assignments related meetings per week called at the middle school beginning of the Teacher workday. It is understood that on occasion elementary classroom Teachers may have to cover their classes when noon hour supervisors are absent and Academy assignments cannot be reasonably replaced by substitutes. Should a Teacher substitute during his/her preparation time, he/she will be paid at the high school, rate of $15.00 per half-hour. For noon hour supervision elementary Teachers will be considered instructional time compensated at the same rate as High School and Middle School Teachers. A Teacher may volunteer to substitute for a colleague without additional compensation. Should a Teacher substitute during his/her preparation time, he/she will be paid at the purposes rate of Section C. of $30.00 per hour or a percentage there of. Although counselors do not have specifically assigned preparation periods, they shall still be entitled to compensation under this Article. C. WORKING CONDITIONS. 4.1 The length of the normal workday for all Teachers shall be 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Teachers in stipend positions (e.g., coaching school athletics programs or sponsoring activities or clubs) will be permitted to leave campus with administrative approval prior to 3:30 in order to fulfill the duties of those positions without penalty or loss of stipend monies. The Administration shall provide a minimum of two hundred twenty-five (225) minutes per five-(5) day work week of planning time for each full-time and itinerant Teacher. Such plan time shall be provided in a daily block of no less than 25 continuous minutes, Subject and Grade level teachers will have a minimum common plan time 1 or 2 times a week. Every teacher shall be entitled to a duty free lunch period equivalent to the regular school lunch period but in any event no less than 30 consecutive minutes per day. 4.2 Students will be dismissed early four (4) days per month for faculty meetings (1 Faculty Meeting, 1 Committee Meeting, and two (2) Departmental Meetings). The departmental meeting agendas shall be at the discretion of the Association, and the faculty meeting agenda and committee meeting agenda shall be at the discretion of the Administration. 4.3 When a Teacher feels that he or she absolutely must be absent from the school during working hours for a period of time during a school day, the Teacher must notify the office and state in writing the time or the period of absence. 4.4 The Administration or its designee will be responsible for assigning substitutes for all full-time Teachers. It is understood that it is the responsibility of the Teacher, or their designee, to inform the Administration, or its designee, if at all possible no later than 6:30 a.m. the day of the absence or as soon thereafter as practicable when the employee knows he/she will not be able to report to work. Internal substitution may be utilized when warranted and auxiliary personnel may be used as substitute teachers in emergency situations only. A licensed employee who substitutes, voluntarily or involuntarily, during their own non-class time, or takes 50% or more of another teacher's homeroom, shall be compensated at the rate of $30.00 per hour. This rate shall be paid in increments of 15 minutes. 4.5 In lieu of homeroom assignments, Teachers may be assigned other school responsibilities without additional pay. Every effort will be made to relieve Teachers of lunch playground duty. 4.6 Teachers shall be paid on a twelve (12) month basis twice a month. Pay days shall be on the fifteenth (15th) and the thirtieth (30th) of each month or on the Friday immediately preceding the payday if it shall fall on Saturday or Sunday. The first payment for a given school year shall be made in September of that year. Teachers shall be given the option of direct deposit, subject to a maximum set-up fee of $100.00 per year and no additional cost to the District. 4.7 In order that Teachers have more time to teach, the Board and Association agree to the following routine task reduction plan: A. The teachers' workday school register shall be 7½ hours per day (2,250 minutes per regular 5-day workweek), which shall include a 30-minute block maintained by the office and certified by the respective Teacher at the end of time per day for duty-free luncheach school year. B. Instructional time (i.e. instructing students) Every effort shall not exceed 1,500 minutes per regular 5-day workweek. Planning time Teachers shall not be less than 20% required to fill out biographical and health data on permanent and temporary record information cards. 4.8 Class size within grade level will be kept as equal as possible except in cases when students transfer out of the teacher's assigned instructional time district mid-year. The number of sections per 5- day workweekgrade level will be kept as equal as possible in each department (i.e. Primary, Intermediate, Jr. High). A student requiring extra attention due to his/her special needs could be weighted as more than one student. Other experimental programs that may be developed could result in having a lower class size. a. For full time teachers4.9 Notification of assignment: Teachers will be assigned teaching duties no later than two weeks before the beginning of the school year. 4.10 Seniority, planning time Reduction in Force and Recall A. Seniority: Administration shall maintain and annually update a Seniority List reflecting the length of continuing service of each teacher to the District. Length of service begins with the initial date of work as a permanent employee and includes all work days in which the teacher is present, on paid leave, or on unpaid Family and Medical leave. If two or more teachers have the same amount of teaching experience in the District, the Teacher with the most years of teaching experience at any public school in Illinois shall be neither less than 200 minutes nor more than 300 minutes per regular 5-day workweek. b. Planning time shall be directed by the bargaining unit member to plan classroom lessons/programs, collaborate with colleagues, review student work, meet with students, and communicate/meet with parents. c. Subject to the provisions herein, planning time shall include deemed most senior. If a continuous block of time of no fewer than 40 minutes which shall be scheduled on at least 4 days during a regular 5-day workweek with the balance of such planning time scheduled during the remainder of the workweek. d. If directed by the principal/designeetie still exists, the teacher with the highest college degree plus credit hours will be deemed most senior. Administration shall perform "spot sub" duty provide a copy of the updated Seniority List to teachers each year at least 75 calendar days before the end of each school year. B. Reduction in Force: When the Board of Education deems it necessary to reduce the number of certified staff in the District because of reasons such as declining enrollments, inadequate finances, the elimination of programs, or other assigned work (including meetings called by the principal/designee) during the member’s planning time and consolidation, every effort will be made to make reductions through attrition. If this is not possible, then reductions shall be compensated in accordance with Section I. 24-12(b) of Article 13. e. Planning time may the Illinois School Code. Any teacher subject to honorable dismissal under a reduction in force shall be disturbed notified in writing by tornado drillscertified mail at least forty five (45) calendar days before the end of the school year. A Sequence of Honorable Dismissal list will be provided to the Association President at least seventy-five (75) calendar days before the end of each school year. To prepare the list, lockdownsthe administration shall provide each teacher with a verification sheet listing the teacher’s seniority date, fire drillsratings of the last three evaluations and all the subjects for which the teacher is licensed and qualified to teach as of May 10 of the prior school year. Each teacher will have ten (10) calendar days to challenge the accuracy of any of the information on the verification sheet. The District will correct any errors and provide the Association President with a corrected copy of the Honorable Dismissal list. A joint District-Association Committee on Honorable Dismissals shall meet annually by December 1 and, assemblies, and other incidental interruptions consistent with the limitations set forth in the regular workday school code, shall consider alternative definitions for placement of teachers in Group 3 and Group 4 and whether PERA evaluations issued by another school district will be considered in determining a teacher’s Group placement for honorable dismissals. The joint committee shall be comprised of an equal number of District representatives and Association representatives, with each party appointing its own representatives to the committee. The joint committee must reach agreement, by majority vote, on or workweek. f. Planning time shall before February 1 of a school year in order for the agreement to apply to the sequence of dismissal determined during that school year. WORKING CONDITIONS. A. The student day for shall begin at 7:50 a.m. and end at 2:45 p.m. The teacher day shall begin at 7:40 a. m. and end at 2:55 p.m. Teachers shall be expected to remain on duty as long as needed in the event of emergency situations similar to, but not limited to, severe weather warnings. 2. All teachers shall have a duty-free lunchuninterrupted lunch period of no less than thirty- five (35) minutes. Secondary teachers may be assigned lunch supervision in lieu of a teaching period when it can be demonstrated that no classroom teaching is available. Implementation of this provision will be to insure the fullest workday possible for the affected teachers. B. Instructional 3. Each teacher shall receive a minimum of two hundred and fifty (250) minutes of preparation time per week. Preparation/Conference time shall not be less than 20% used or spent on any unconnected or non-school activity, except in emergency situations and with the permission of the principal or his designee. In addition, it is expressly understood that teachers will not leave their buildings during preparation time on personal errands or the like, without permission of the principal or designee. 5. Daily preparation for effective teaching, correcting papers, themes, attending faculty meetings, and similar activities require many hours of application outside the classroom and add to the professional responsibilities of the teacher's assigned instructional time per 5- day workweek. a. The school nurse is entitled to an unpaid duty free lunch, which may only be interrupted by an emergency, which is not included in the normal workday. When the opening of school is delayed due to inclement weather, paraprofessionals and secretarial bargaining unit members shall be allowed to come in to work at their normal start time, or permitted to come in at the same time as students. When school is closed early due to inclement weather, bargaining unit members shall be allowed to stay until their normal end time, or leave after student dismissal. Paraprofessional and secretarial bargaining unit members shall be paid for hours actually worked on such days. Other bargaining unit employees shall be required to work their normal shifts on such dates. 6. Bargaining unit members assigned to cover a position with a higher hourly wage shall receive the higher rate of pay for the time worked in that position when they work for more than two (JPS2) consecutive hours. 7. Employees who job share shall split the paid leave on a pro-rata basis, provided that all job share arrangements require the Superintendent’s approval. 8. Night Shift custodians shall be granted a paid ½ hour supper break as long as they remain on campus. If a night shift custodian chooses to leave the campus, they must mark the time on their time sheet. Upon return they shall complete the remainder of their shift so that on campus time equals eight (e.8) hours. 9. Custodians and other 12 month employees who come to work when school is cancelled due to weather conditions shall work until they complete their normal shift unless the Superintendent/Principal makes a decision that conditions pose a safety hazard to return to home. In the case when the Governor announces a state of emergency, all employees shall be required to leave the building and return to home.

Paraprofessionals who meet MDE requirements and hold a current substitute permit, may choose to serve as a substitute teacher in the absence of a substitute teacher in his/her assigned instructional time classroom only. Paraprofessionals serving as substitute teachers will be compensated at $50 for a full day assignment, $25 for a half day assignment or $10 per 5- day workweek. a. (d) A part-time teacher shall be entitled to the number of preparation time periods obtained by dividing the number of periods worked by forty (40) and multiplying by six (6), rounded down, for preparation time within the periods that they worked in each week. (e) Notwithstanding the above, the Board, in its discretion, and solely for the purposes of scheduling the teaching day, shall be entitled to reduce the total preparation time periods allocated above to a teacher from the number of such periods as set out above by one (1) such period in each week. (f) The Board shall use its best efforts not to reduce preparation time periods. (g) The Board shall not use Article 19.01 to eliminate or add any teaching position. (h) A part-time teacher, with the approval of the Director of Education/Principal/Vice-Principal, can take preparation time periods at any place other than Hillel Academy. Such approval shall not be unreasonably withheld. 19.02 Each full-time teacher is entitled to a daily uninterrupted lunch period similar to that of the pupils of the school, save and except for an emergency situation, which situation shall be determined solely by the Director of Education/Principal/Vice- Principal. 19.03 Teachers are entitled to any and all uninterrupted recesses enjoyed by their respective pupils, save for duty and save and except for an emergency situation, which situation shall be determined solely by the Director of Education/ Principal/Vice-Principal. 19.04 When a teacher has a period of time for preparation during his teaching schedule, he may, if requested to do so by the Director of Education/Principal/Vice-Principal, substitute teach for that period of time in accordance with the rate paid to occasional teachers. A teacher shall have the option of refusing to substitute teach during the period of time for preparation, and shall not be required to substitute teach against his wishes, save and except for an emergency situation, which situation shall be determined solely by the Director of Education/Principal/Vice-Principal. 19.05 The Board recognizes the need to employ a Hebrew occasional teacher in the event of any temporary absence from teaching duties of a Hebrew teacher and the need to employ an occasional general studies teacher in the event of a temporary absence from teaching duties of a general studies teacher. The Board will make a reasonable effort to employ occasional teachers in accordance with the aforesaid recognized need. 19.06 The Board shall allocate non-classroom duties in such manner that the various supervisory duties needed for the efficient operation of the school are shared as equally as possible by all the teachers in the school. (a) Subject to sub-paragraph 19.07(d) below, a half-time teacher’s classroom duties will begin each day at 8:45 a.m. or 12:50 p.m., as the case may be, and will end at 11:55 a.m. or 3:45 p.m., as the case may be. (2,250 b) Subject to sub-paragraph 19.07(d) below, a full-time teacher’s duties will begin each teaching day at 8:45 a.m. and will end at 3:45 p.m. (c) Subject to subparagraphs 19.07(d) below, and provided a half-time or a part- time teacher’s supervisory duties will only occur directly before, during or after the teacher’s classroom duties, a teacher’s supervisory duties will begin at 8:30 a. m. and end at 8:45 a.m. and begin at 3:45 p.m. and end at 4:05 p.m., except for the noon and early Friday closing of Hillel Academy, when the teacher’s supervisory duties shall end twenty (20) minutes per regular 5after the dismissal of the students from the classroom. (d) After the end of a teacher's yard duties as specified in sub-day workweek)paragraph 19.07(c) above, it is the responsibility of the Board to supervise any children remaining on the school yard or premises. (e) Commencing in 2006, the school will close at 2:00 PM for the first two (2) calendar Fridays in January. All other Friday closings will remain status quo. 19.08 Although a teacher shall not be responsible for assignment of class work while a pupil is on vacation during the school year, a teacher shall be responsible for the assignment of such class work while a pupil is away from class for justifiable cause, which shall include a 30-minute block of time per day for duty-free lunchbut not be limited to illness and/or injury. B. Instructional time (i.e. instructing students) 19.09 A teacher shall not exceed 1,500 minutes per regular 5-day workweek. The Board will undertake its best efforts to ensure that Professional Development Day programs will be set up to accommodate all teachers. Where possible, the scheduling of at least one (1) Professional Development Day will coincide with the public and/or Judaic school boards within the provinces of Ontario and Quebec. 19.11 It is the duty of a teacher: (a) to teach diligently and faithfully the classes or subjects assigned to him by the Director of Education/Principal/Vice-Principal, (b) to carry out all tasks and responsibilities in a professional manner. 19.12 The Board shall provide a staff room for the purposes use of Section C. the teachers of this ArticleHillel Academy. C. Planning time shall not be less than 20% 19.13 Assignment of the teacher's assigned instructional time per 5- day workweek. a. For full time teachers, planning time children to classes shall be neither less than 200 minutes nor more than 300 minutes per regular 5-day workweek. b. Planning time made by the classroom teachers and proper distribution of children with special needs shall be directed by the bargaining unit member to plan classroom lessons/programs, collaborate with colleagues, review student work, meet with students, and communicate/meet with parents. c. Subject to the provisions herein, planning time shall include a continuous block of time of no fewer than 40 minutes which shall be scheduled on at least 4 days during a regular 5-day workweek with the balance of such planning time scheduled during the remainder of the workweek. d. If directed by the principal/designee, the teacher shall perform "spot sub" duty or other assigned work (including meetings called by the principal/designee) during the member’s planning time and shall be compensated in accordance with Section I. of Article 13. e. Planning time may be disturbed by tornado drills, lockdowns, fire drills, assemblies, and other incidental interruptions in the regular workday or workweek. f. Planning time shall not routinely be used to engage in personal business or to leave school grounds. D. The remainder of the teacher's workday shall be student support time and non-instructional time as assigned by the principal/designee. a. Such time shall include any passing time and may include any "duty" assignments; Advisory/Academy periods; traveling between buildings; participating in team meetings, JEP/IAT meetings, parent meetings, and other meetings called by the principal/designee; time to plan classroom lessons/programs; consult with colleagues; review student work; meet with students; and communicate/meet with parents. b. Teachers traveling between buildings shall not lose planning time nor lunch time due to travel between buildings. c. For teachers traveling between buildings, one-half hour per day shall be built into the schedule for lunch, as well as a weekly average of thirty minutes of travel time and set-up time per travel day with a minimum of twenty-five minutes on any given travel day (30 minutes per workday of travel time).
