Working Out of Class Compensation. A. Lieutenants are eligible for “working out of class” compensation for all hours worked when assigned as the sole or most senior officer (based on time in grade when more than one Lieutenant is working) in a fire station or the ECC, or when assigned as an EMS Duty Officer for more than 280 hours during a 6‐month period.
