Committee Assignments. All bargaining unit members appointed to serve on a joint labor-management committee by the Union President shall be compensated consistent with Section 14.1 of this Article when required to attend a committee meeting on their day off except as otherwise provided for in this Agreement.
Committee Assignments. Non stipend, mandatory committee assignments that take place outside the regular contract workday shall be compensated the extra duty hourly rate. Committee meetings and committee work will not be conducted during the teacher release Wednesday or during regular contract hours.
Committee Assignments. Any teacher volunteering to serve on a district committee shall receive fifteen ($15.00) per committee meeting that they attend. The total amount to be paid to an individual teacher shall not exceed four hundred fifty ($450.00) per school year, per committee and shall be paid in a lump sum payment at the end of the school year in June. Approval of committees/committee chairpersons and number of members will be determined by Board of Education. Keeping records of minutes and attendance at meetings will be the responsibility of the committee chairperson and submitted within one (1) week of the meeting on the district wide recording form (appendix B). Any teacher who serves as chairperson of a committee will receive thirty ($30.00) per meeting up to a maximum of nine hundred ($900.00) per school year and shall be paid in a lump sum payment at the end of the school year in June.
Committee Assignments. All assignments of teachers to district-wide committees, including Shared Governance and Professional Development committees, shall be made in annual consultation with the association president with the greatest membership in the district.

No full- time academic employee is required to serve concurrently on more than one committee, board, or council of the College. If an employee is serving on a recognized Union committee, this requirement is satisfied. Such voluntary additional service does not constitute any type of overload or extra duty assignment. Service on hiring committees or on non- standing committees shall fulfill this requirement for unit members. Unit members who are vocational instructors are expected to serve on their department’s Advisory Committee, if one exists, as their committee assignment to fulfill their contractual requirement. The unit member may request to participate on any of the committees for which s/he has an interest, though some committees require formal appointment while some are elected. Interested unit members should inquire well in advance of the start of the new academic year if they wish to participate in an elected or appointed committee to determine the requirements. The Office of the Superintendent/President will provide to unit members the list of recognized committees and clubs with current membership at the beginning of each academic year, or more frequently if necessary. The President of the Academic Senate will verify committee assignments, and the Academic Senate will confirm such assignments at the beginning of each academic year. Unit members may change their committee assignments at the beginning of each academic semester, or when elected to an elected committee, or when joining a newly formed committee or club. Participation as a member of the Executive Board of the Association or as an Association Negotiator is also recognized as fulfilling the committee requirement of the contract.
