Working with Schools and Colleges. The University currently has a very extensive network, working with approximately 2500 schools per year, across all age phases, to raise aspiration and attainment. This work involves working with our partner schools on activities such as specific outreach, as well as engaging directly with children and young people and supporting the raising of the quality of teaching and learning within schools. Current activities with schools include; in school presentations and workshops; on campus subject taster days; revision support classes and team teaching with school staff. We also facilitate and deliver 11 Secondary subject networks, which meet at least three times per year, and offer a platform for subject-level enhancement, an opportunity for networking and xxxxxx a rich learning community. Furthermore the University makes extensive use of its Arts Centre and Sports Centre, as well as other specialist facilities, to support schools and colleges across the North West with teaching, learning and civic engagement. We also facilitate summer residentials for Year 12 students to enable them to make an informed decision about accessing Higher Education. We work closely with our Xxxxxxxxx Institute to engage schools in the development and learning of an international curriculum and culture. Our approach to raising aspirations will remain focused on working closely with schools and colleges, identifying and nurturing potential. In this way we seek to increase the number of applications received from under-represented groups, particularly: young people from low participation neighbourhoods, Care Leavers, and students with disabilities. We recognise and support outreach as a long term priority and will continue to plan and deliver on this basis. Whilst we will continue extensive outreach activity to reach as many schools as possible in the North West, we recognise the need to work more intensively with some schools where the barriers to HE are more profound. We have, therefore, developed a younger age progressive programme, ‘HE Futures’, for students in Year 9-11 to ensure awareness and aspiration to progress to HE is achievable.

The University and its colleges conduct an extensive range of school and college visits each year and maintain a database to record all this activity across Oxford. In 2009-10 Oxford conducted over 1,550 activities, involving over 3,000 schools and colleges in the UK – 76% of all schools and colleges with post-16 provision. This engagement will continue to develop, and as evidence builds of the most effective methods of supporting students and teachers, the work will be adapted so that it provides the best possible support.

  • TOOLS AND CLOTHING 30.1 An employee shall be required to provide himself with the ordinary hand tools of his trade, based on established trade union practices at the time of signing of this Agreement. EPSCA and the Union shall establish an appropriate tool list for each trade. Each Employer will provide, insofar as is practical, separate facilities for storing the tools of each trade, but shall not be held responsible for losses, except as noted hereunder:

  • Accreditation of Public Schools and Adoption and Implementation of School Plans The District will implement a system of accrediting all of its schools, as described in section 22-11- 307, C.R.S., which may include measures specifically for those schools that have been designated as Alternative Education Campuses, in accordance with the provisions of 1 CCR 301-57. The District will ensure that plans are implemented for each school in compliance with the requirements of the State Board pursuant to 1 CCR 301-1.

  • Tools and Equipment As established by current practices, the Employer may determine and provide necessary tools, tool allowance, equipment and foul weather gear. The Employer will repair or replace employer-provided tools and equipment if damaged or worn out beyond usefulness in the normal course of business. Employees are accountable for equipment and/or tools assigned to them and will maintain them in a clean and serviceable condition.

  • UNIFORMS, TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT 23.1 Uniforms‌ The Employer may require employees to wear uniforms. Where required, the Employer will determine and provide the uniform or an equivalent clothing allowance. The Employer will follow their policy regarding the provision and maintenance of required uniforms, specialized clothing and footwear. The cost of normal wear and tear and loss of required uniforms, specialized clothing and footwear due to workplace conditions is the responsibility of the Employer.

  • Payrolls and basic records a. Payrolls and basic records relating thereto shall be maintained by the contractor during the course of the work and preserved for a period of three years thereafter for all laborers and mechanics working at the site of the work. Such records shall contain the name, address, and social security number of each such worker, his or her correct classification, hourly rates of wages paid (including rates of contributions or costs anticipated for bona fide fringe benefits or cash equivalents thereof of the types described in section 1(b)(2)(B) of the Xxxxx-Xxxxx Act), daily and weekly number of hours worked, deductions made and actual wages paid. Whenever the Secretary of Labor has found under 29 CFR 5.5(a)(1)(iv) that the wages of any laborer or mechanic include the amount of any costs reasonably anticipated in providing benefits under a plan or program described in section 1(b)(2)(B) of the Xxxxx- Xxxxx Act, the contractor shall maintain records which show that the commitment to provide such benefits is enforceable, that the plan or program is financially responsible, and that the plan or program has been communicated in writing to the laborers or mechanics affected, and records which show the costs anticipated or the actual cost incurred in providing such benefits. Contractors employing apprentices or trainees under approved programs shall maintain written evidence of the registration of apprenticeship programs and certification of trainee programs, the registration of the apprentices and trainees, and the ratios and wage rates prescribed in the applicable programs.

  • PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT, TOOLS AND APPAREL 16.01 The Employer will furnish employees with all necessary personal protective equipment (including safety helmets, safety glasses, gloves etc.) and rain gear if and when required. Said equipment shall remain the property of the Employer. Any worn out safety equipment will be replaced by the Employer upon presentation of the worn equipment. The employees shall be held responsible for loss or improper maintenance of Employer furnished items, including personal protective equipment, rain gear and safety equipment, in which case employees may, at the discretion of the Employer, be subject to disciplinary action.

  • Specialist Schools Allowance Funding equivalent to that which a maintained school with the Academy's characteristics would receive in respect of their participation in the specialist schools programme. In the year of conversion, this may continue to be paid by the Local Authority;

  • For Information/Tools and Other Research Studies  Outcome of project.  Published documents, including date, title, and periodical name.  A discussion of policy development. State if the project has been cited in government policy publications or technical journals, or has been used to inform regulatory bodies.  The number of website downloads.  An estimate of how the project information has affected energy use and cost, or have resulted in other non-energy benefits.  An estimate of energy and non-energy benefits.  Data on potential job creation, market potential, economic development, and increased state revenue as a result of project.  A discussion of project product downloads from websites, and publications in technical journals.  A comparison of project expectations and performance. Discuss whether the goals and objectives of the Agreement have been met and what improvements are needed, if any. • Respond to CAM questions regarding responses to the questionnaires. The Energy Commission may send the Recipient similar questionnaires after the Agreement term ends. Responses to these questionnaires will be voluntary.
