Common use of Xxxxxxxxxxx Leave Clause in Contracts

Xxxxxxxxxxx Leave. In the event of a death of a member of the immediate family, an employee shall be granted up to (2) two days of paid leave upon request. Bereavement leave is of a special nature and may not be deferred or converted to any other purpose. It is not charged against any other leave account. In order to honor a request for bereavement leave, employees are required to attach a copy of the obituary or other satisfactory document to the leave request form and details about the relationship may be required by the Superintendent. Immediate family shall be defined as: Employee’s spouse, grandparent, parent, brother, sister, child, grandchild, or the grandparent, parent, brother, sister, child, grandchild, of the employee’s spouse.
