Extension of Bereavement Leave. If an employee wishes to extend the leave beyond that described above due to travel or other responsibilities, such request will not be unreasonably denied, but that time will be deducted from the employee’s accumulated vacation or float holiday time. If vacation or float holiday time is not available, employee may request unpaid leave. Documents justifying the extension of bereavement leave must be produced.
Extension of Bereavement Leave. Death of a member of the immediate family as defined in Bereavement Leave and including family members related by law or consanguinity.
Extension of Bereavement Leave. In the event of a death in the immediate family, the employee may utilize paid time off or banked sick leave to extend the bereavement leave period upon notification of and authorization by the Employer.
Extension of Bereavement Leave. In exceptional cases, the Employer may approve an extension of time for attendance at a funeral referenced in paragraphs 2 or 3 above, which time shall be chargeable to the employee’s paid time off, if available.
Extension of Bereavement Leave. 17.3.1 With consideration of a FCM’s ability to carry out their duties following a significant life event, the Chief Pilot may grant additional leave at the FCMs request.
17.3.2 If the funeral is to take place away from the FCM principal residence, additional leave shall be granted that will provide the FCM with reasonable travel time.
Extension of Bereavement Leave. 21.3.1 With consideration of a FCM’s ability to carry out their duties following a significant life event, the Director, Line Operations may grant additional leave at the FCMs request.
Extension of Bereavement Leave. Extension of the Bereavement Leave may be granted by the Department only if such request is based on special conditions affecting any member subject to this Agreement.
