Youth Education. CONTRACTOR shall primarily focus these services at the 7 elementary and intermediate grade levels. The focus of these services shall be on strengthening a young 8 person’s interpersonal and social skills. The curriculum shall be age appropriate and aim to affect 9 leadership skill development, coping skills, critical life and social skills including decision-making, 10 refusal skills, critical analysis, and systematic judgment abilities. These services involve two-way 11 communication and are distinguished from Information Dissemination services by the fact that the 12 interaction between the educator/facilitator and the Participants is the basis of the activity.

Youth Education. The portion of the education program not directed to mandated programs primarily centered on watershed and natural environment curriculum. Examples include the Tri-County Children's Water Festival, in-class education, day camps, etc.

Related to Youth Education

  • Adult Education Teachers of Adult Education shall be paid at the rate of thirty-five ($35.00) an hour. Break time will not be deducted from teachers’ pay.

  • Public Education 7.1.01 Inform and educate the public about vaccines and vaccine- preventable diseases

  • Union Education If the local union indicates to the Hospital that its members have approved a special assessment for union education in accordance with the CUPE constitution and local union by laws, the Hospital agrees to deduct this assessment. Such assessment will be paid on a quarterly basis into a trust fund established and administered by OCHU/CUPE for this purpose.

  • Employee Education (A) The state may allow employees time off with pay for the purpose of attending short courses, institutes, and workshops that will improve their performance in their current position.

  • Special Education Special education services, related services, and accommodations for students who are eligible under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (Section 504), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), or any applicable provisions of state law, shall be provided in accordance with applicable state and federal law, this Agreement and Authorizer rules and policies. The Authorizer is the LEA for purposes of ensuring compliance with IDEA, Section 504, and all other federal and state laws and regulations concerning accommodation of and education of students with disabilities.

  • In-Service Education The parties recognize the value of in-service both to the employee and the Employer and shall encourage employees to participate in in-service. All employees scheduled by the Employer to attend in-service seminars shall receive regular wages.

  • Continuing Education 24.01 The Hospital and the Union recognize that continuing education is important for all employees and that they have shared interests and responsibilities in ensuring equitable access to it.

  • Training and Education SECTION 1 – Law Enforcement Supervisors’ Training The state and the PBA recognize the importance of supervisor training programs to develop management skills in our law enforcement supervisors. The state will make a reasonable effort to continue existing training programs in law enforcement techniques and to develop new programs in performance review techniques, supervisory skills, and managerial techniques.
