ZERO PERIOD OR EIGHTH PERIOD TEACHING ASSIGNMENTS. 1. The District may expand learning opportunities available for its students and increase flexibility for the master schedule by seeking volunteers from among its full-time teachers serving in a departmentalized setting to teach either a zero period or 8th period class. The District may offer the opportunity to teach either the zero period or 8th period class to an on-site teacher as long as the teacher has at least two years of classroom experience and is credentialed in the appropriate subject. Participating teachers shall be required to complete the necessary preparation for all his/her classes on his/her own time.
