Period of Contract. Such written permission shall be considered a Contract Term Adjustment for the purpose of Contractor completing performance of obligations cov- ered by such permission.
Period of Contract. A. Rooms are contracted for 1 academic year (Fall and Spring Semesters) or the remainder of the academic year if entered after the beginning of the fall semester.
B. The resident may occupy an assigned room beginning on the day and time the hall officially opens until the hall officially closes. Failure to properly check-in to the residence hall by 9:00 a.m. on the first day of classes could result in assignment of the space to another resident. Proper check-in consists of contacting a staff member during the check-in period between the hall opening date and 9:00 a.m. of the first class day, receiving your room key and all check-in materials and publications. Every effort will be made to hold the original assignment if the Office of Residence Life is notified of an anticipated delayed arrival; however, it may be necessary to assign the late resident to other accommodations.
C. Termination of Occupancy will be twenty-four (24) hours after the resident’s last examination for the semester for non-graduating residents or until published closing of the hall, whichever comes first. Accommodations will be made for a graduating resident. Contact the hall staff members if this service is needed. Proper check-out procedures are to be followed as listed in the Residence Life Housing Guide and all closing information distributed prior to the end of each semester.
D. Housing during periods when classes are not in session may be made available if the University determines there is sufficient demand. In such instances, additional charges may be required for each resident desiring accommodations. The University reserves the right to consolidate interim residents during break periods.
E. In the event that the assigned accommodations are destroyed, or otherwise made unavailable, and the University cannot furnish other accommodations, then this contract is void. All rights and liabilities of the parties will cease and rental payments previously made by the resident shall be refunded on a pro-rated basis for the period for which accommodations were not made available for the resident.
F. The University’s Housing Requirement stipulates that all single beginning undergraduate students who are not commuting from the home of their parents or legal guardians (within a 45-mile radius) must reside in University housing until the student meets at least one exemption. Exemptions can be found in the Residence Life Housing Guide.

Period of Contract. The period of contract is two years from the date of award. However, the Company shall be entitled to terminate the contract earlier than one year without any notice if in the opinion of the Company, the performance of the contract is not satisfactory, contractor engages in any unlawful act, or due to any other reasons, at the sole discretion of the company.
5.01 The contract will be valid for a period of two years, from the date of award. However the contract may be extended for further three months or part thereof, on the same rates, terms and conditions, with the mutual consent of the contractor and the Company.
5.02 Any increase or decrease in the price of diesel rates shall be adjusted on the basis of one litre equal to 4 Km / 10 MTs., which means for every 40 paise increase / decrease in diesel price, one paisa per KM / MT will be allowed in case of increase and will be reduced in case of reduction. The increase or decrease shall be governed on quarterly basis i.e., the increase or decrease during one quarter shall be accounted for in the succeeding quarter. (The formula is based on the truck load of 10 Mts., which has been taken for the Administrative convenience and has nothing to do with Motor Vehicle Act (MVA). The contractor has to follow MVA and loading in each truck has to be as per the laden capacity approved and registered.
Period of Contract. This contract, unless otherwise stated, is for the full academic year consisting of the fall and spring semesters of the same academic year. If student defers admission from the fall semester the contract applies for spring semester only. See Section 5 and 6 for exceptions. Thus, the student agrees that, he/she will live in the university residence halls and take meals in university dining facilities for the entire period of the contract. Dining services under this contract will be provided as indicated below. The procedure for a student entering the university with a new contract for the spring semester beginning in January is the same as outlined for the fall semester.
Period of Contract. This contract shall commence on the effective date and shall continue indefinitely unless terminated by either party, in terms of Clause 21 of this contract.
Period of Contract. Mississippi State University desires to provide housing for students at the lowest possible rate, and for that reason, THIS CONTRACT IS FOR THE ENTIRE ACADEMIC YEAR (BOTH FALL 2024 AND SPRING 2025 TERMS), OR IF ENTERED INTO AFTER THE BEGINNING OF THE ACADEMIC YEAR, FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE ACADEMIC YEAR (BOTH TERMS).
Period of Contract. A. Except as provided in Article XII, this contract is for the full academic year (Fall and Spring semesters) or remaining portion of the academic year, continuing through 24 hours after completion of last regularly scheduled final exam for non-graduating students and 24 hours after the start of Commencement for graduating students. If this contract is terminated before the end of the contract period, the student may occupy his/her assigned room no later than 24 hours after the student is notified of the termination. These deadlines may be adjusted at the discretion of University Housing. Thus the resident and/or their parent or legal guardian agree that once the housing application, contract, application fee and deposit have been accepted by VSU, the resident will live in VSU residence halls and will pay all residence hall fees during the period of the contract. Residents who withdraw from VSU before completion of the academic year may be released from the contract, subject to the terms below, by submitting the Release of Contract form via the Housing website. First time, first year freshmen must complete the Freshmen Residency Exemption form and must be approved prior to the Release of Contract form.
1. The Apartment Lease for Centennial Hall covers 50 weeks, consisting of Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters. The Lease ends 24 hours after the start of the commencement ceremony for those graduating.
2. Students not enrolled in Summer classes are still held responsible for the Summer portion of this 50-week contract.
3. The payment for Centennial is made in Fall and Spring semesters, with no additional amount for Summer. Students that are granted a release from their Centennial contract will not receive any portion back.
B. A space will be held for a resident upon the receipt of a completed application, contract, $100 nonrefundable application fee and $150 deposit. Note that the $100 is not applicable to the payment of room charges, but is a one-time fee. The application fee is not transferable to another resident. Continuing residents are not required to pay a new application fee each time they reapply for campus housing. Responsibility to show proof of payment of the application fee rests with the resident.
