Active Employ definition

Active Employ excludes absences without pay from the Employer in excess of sixty (60) consecutive calendar days. A nurse on such leave of absence shall be responsible for any benefit plans in which she participates for the period of the absence in excess of sixty (60) consecutive calendar days. The nurse may arrange with the Employer to prepay the premiums during the period of the leave to ensure coverage.

The Employee may arrange with the Employer to pre-pay the full premium of any applicable subsidized benefit during the period of leave to ensure her continuing coverage subject to the approval of the carrier. Failure to provide post-dated cheques will result in benefits being cancelled.

Such amount shall not be included in the base for the purposes of calculating any premiums nor shall it be paid on any overtime or premium hours worked. The Employer Pension Plan is maintained by Canada. Enrollment participation and the contribution by nurses and the Employerwill be in accordancewith the terms and conditions of that Part-time and Casual nurses are eligible to participatein the pension plan subject to the plans eligibility requirements.

  • Active Employee means a contributing member of the TRS who is employed by a public school and is not entitled to coverage under a plan provided under Insurance Code Chapter 1551 (Texas Em- ployees Group Benefits Act) or 1601 (State University Employees Uniform Insurance Benefits Act).
