Adjustment of Disputes means a difference which arises the Union and the Employer and/or between an and the Employer relating to: the interpretation, application, administration or alleged violation of this Agreement any question as to whether a matter is arbitrable) or an arbitral award; the interpretation, application, administration or alleged violation of a provision of an Act or Regulation, or a direction or other instrument made or issued by the Employer dealing with the terms or conditions of employment; action resulting in demotion, suspension, or a financial penalty (including the withholding of an increment); or letters of discipline placed on an employee's personnel Grievances shall be settled according to the following procedures for adjustment of disputes and arbitration. If he so desires, an employee may be assisted and represented by the Union when a grievance at any level. Where an employee has been represented by the Union in the presentation of his grievance, the Employer will provide the appropriate Representative of the Union with a copy of the Employer's decision at each level of the grievance procedure at the same time that the Employer's decision is conveyed to the employee. An employee shall have the right to present a grievance on matters relating to the application or interpretation of this Agreement provided he first obtains the authorization of the Union prior to presenting such a grievance. The Union shall have the right to initiate and present a grievance to any level of management specified in the grievance procedure related to the application or interpretation of this Agreement on behalf of one or more members of the Union. An employee may, by written notice to the Employer, withdraw a grievance provided where the grievance is one arising out of the application or interpretation of this Agreement his withdrawal has the endorsement, in writing, of the Union.

  • Contract Term Adjustment means adjustment only as provided for in the three circumstances described in this Subsection. Under these circumstances, the contract term shall be adjusted in writing to include additional calendar days in one or more Normal Operating Seasons equal to the actual time lost, except as limited by paragraph (b) in this Subsection.
