ASSUMED INVESTMENT definition

ASSUMED INVESTMENT. RATE The Assumed Investment Rate is 4.5% per year. We use this rate to determine the first payment under Variable Payment Annuity Options I, J, K, M and N. Future payment amounts under these options will depend on the relationship between the Assumed Investment Rate and the actual investment performance of each Subaccount as reflected in the Subaccount's Annuity Unit Value. The Assumed Investment Rate is the net annual investment return that will need to be earned by each Subaccount of the Separate Account for there to be no reduction in the amount of the monthly payments under these options. BENEFICIARY The individual(s) or entity(s) designated by the Owner at the time this contract is issued, or as later changed.
