Charge hand definition

Charge hand. A fully qualified Traffic Control Person who is responsible for and directs the workforce in situations of remoteness or when the crew consists of 15 or more employees.
Charge hand means a person in the bargaining unit who successfully applies for such a position. His responsibilities, in addition to his normal duties, shall be the overseeing of other employees in the performance of their work but shall not include the authority to discipline, suspend or discharge.
Charge hand. When an employee is designated as charge hand by the Company, he shall receive ten percent (10%) per hour above the highest classification under his supervision.
