Competing Fund definition

Competing Fund means typically a money market fund, short-term bond fund, any other Stable Value option or any other investment options with similar characteristics, for which transfer restrictions exist from a Stable Value option. The type of restriction imposed is generally referred to as an “equity wash,” wherein the participant must transfer the amount first to a non-competing investment option for a period of time before transferring the amount to a Competing Fund.
Competing Fund means a limited partnership or pooled investment vehicle, other than the Company or any direct or indirect Subsidiary of the Company and any of the Legacy Vehicles for which the Manager or any of its Affiliates acts as the general partner or investment manager, that are formed for the purpose of investing in Royalty Investments, other than any vehicle managed by Pharmakon or its successor, or any vehicle approved by the independent members of the Board of Directors.
Competing Fund means any of the following funds, funding vehicles, or accounts if made available to Participants under the Plan:

Examples of Competing Fund in a sentence

  • The General Partner will promptly notify UST in the event the General Partner or any of its Affiliates forms, closes on or accepts commitments to a Competing Fund following the Lock-Up Termination Date and prior to the expiration or termination of the Investment Period.

  • Transfers may be made from a Competing Fund to any other Plan investment option.

  • Only new contributions to the Plan may be invested in a Competing Fund.

  • The General Partner will promptly notify UST in the event the General Partner or its Affiliates forms, closes on or accepts commitments to a Competing Fund following the Lock-Up Termination Date and prior to the expiration or termination of the Investment Period.

  • Unless transferred during and pursuant to a plan-level transition to a replacement fund, Participant Withdrawals from the Plan GFIF cannot be transferred directly or indirectly to a Competing Fund without first being invested in a non-Competing Fund for ninety (90) days.


More Definitions of Competing Fund

Competing Fund means a limited partnership or pooled investment vehicle, other than RP PLC or any direct or indirect subsidiary of RP PLC, the ICAV or any direct or indirect Subsidiary of the ICAV and any of the Legacy Vehicles for which the Manager or any of its Affiliates acts as the general partner or investment manager, that are formed for the purpose of investing in Royalty Investments, other than any vehicle managed by Pharmakon or its successor, or any vehicle approved by the independent members of the Board of Directors of RP PLC.
Competing Fund means any other closed-end investment company registered under the 1940 Act using an investment strategy that is the same as or substantially similar to the strategy used by the Fund, other than investment companies advised or sub-advised by a Party prior to the date of this Agreement.

Competing Fund means a Person or pooled investment or asset management vehicle investing Royalty Investments, other than (i) the Company, Holdings or any of their respective direct or indirect Subsidiaries, (ii) any of the Legacy Vehicles for which the Manager or any of its Affiliates acts as the general partner or investment manager, or (iii) any Person or vehicle approved by the independent members of the Board of Directors.
