Compostable materials definition

Compostable materials means organic materials designated by the City as approved for collection and processing, including, without limitation, yard trimmings, food scraps, soiled paper and compostable plastics, but excluding animal manure, sewage sludge, and human biological wastes.
Compostable materials means waste products from plants, trees, and/ or other Vegetation that are naturally biodegradable, including grass clippings, leaves, tree needles, garden waste and weeds;
Compostable materials means any organic material that when accumulated will become active compost as defined by the California Code of Regulations, Title 14, Division 7, Chapter 3.1, Section 17852.

Compostable materials means materials that can be converted into a stabilized organic product through a controlled aerobic decomposition process in such a manner that the product can be handled, stored, and/or applied to the land without adversely affecting public health or the environment and includes food waste and yard waste.
