Core Skills definition

Core Skills means skills that are necessary to receive a diploma or degree in a Student’s field of study, such that failure to master these skills will result in no diploma or degree being awarded. “Core Skills” are specific to the Program of Study and are not taught in general education courses or generally taught across all fields of study, and are not the same as basic skills, which are skills that are necessary for success in a Student’s field of study, but which the Student should possess upon entry into a Program of Study.
