Denial of Time Off definition

Denial of Time Off. Any employee who has requested and been denied the use of compensatory time, vacation, or any other accrued leave on a particular day, and who calls in sick for the day(s) for which leave was denied, shall be required to provide a physician’s verification of injury or illness.

  • Denial of Service Attack means an attack intended by the perpetrator to overwhelm the capacity of a "computer system" by sending an excessive volume of electronic data to such "computer system" in order to prevent authorized access to such "computer system".

  • Denial means the process of refusing to grant a license after OCCL receives an application. This constitutes refusal of permission to operate.

  • Medically Necessary Leave of Absence means a Leave of Absence by a full-time student Dependent at a postsecondary educational institution that:

  • CIC Protection Period means the two-year period beginning on the date of a Change in Control and ending on the day before the second annual anniversary of the date of the Change in Control.

  • Leave of Absence means absent from work with permission.

  • Statement of Grievance shall name the grievant(s) involved, the facts giving rise to the grievance, provision(s) of the Agreement alleged to be violated and the remedy (specific relief) requested.

  • National Road Traffic Act means the National Road Traffic Act, 1996 (Act 93 of 1996);

  • FMLA Leave means a leave of absence, which the Company is required to extend to an Employee under the provisions of the FMLA.

  • Part-time employment means any employment or combination of one or more employments in a civil division in which an individual works fifty percent or less of the time prescribed as the standard work week by the governing body or other appropriate authority of the civil division or where the employee earns not more than one-half (1/2) of the rate assigned to the position if the position has been allocated to a graded salary schedule.
