Diverse Supplier definition
Diverse Supplier means any business or enterprise that is certified by a Supplier Certification Organization to be:
Diverse Supplier means any business or enterprise that is more than 50% owned, managed and controlled by persons belonging to a group that experiences discrimination or barriers to equal opportunity including women, indigenous people, persons with disabilities, new immigrants, LGBTQ+ people, visible minorities, and other groups the City identifies as historically under-represented.
Diverse Supplier means a qualified corporation, entity or provider that is at least 51% owned, controlled and/or operated by minorities or women. “Control” in this context means exercising the power to make policy decisions. “Operate” in this context means actively involved in the day-to-day management.
