E-Verify Program definition

E-Verify Program above means the employment verification program administered by the United States Department of Homeland Security, the Social Security Administration, or any successor program.
E-Verify Program means the electronic verification of work authorization program of the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996 (P.L. 104-208), Division C, Title IV, § 403(a), as amended, operated by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, or a successor work authorization program designated by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security or other federal agency authorized to verify the work authorization status of newly hired employees under the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 (P.L. 99-603).
E-Verify Program. The City is committed to compliance with Federal and State laws requiring the verification of newly hired employees to ensure they are lawfully entitled to work in the United States. As such, the City shall not enter into a contract for the “physical performance of services” (as defined in O.C.G.A. § 13-10-90) unless the Contractor registers and participates in a federal work authorization program (E-Verify). The E-Verify affidavit or the secure identifiable document submitted by the Contractor will become part of the Contract Documents.
