Elective Deferral Agreement definition

Elective Deferral Agreement means the agreement entered into between a Participant and the Employer, as described in Section 3.6.
Elective Deferral Agreement means an agreement by a Participant made pursuant to Section 3.1 to have Elective Deferrals made to the Plan on his behalf.

Elective Deferral Agreement means an agreement between an Eligible Employee and the Employer under which an Eligible Employee may make Elective Deferral Contributions. An Elective Deferral Agreement (or change thereto) must be made in such manner and in accordance with such rules as the Employer may prescribe in a non-discriminatory manner (including by means of voice response or other electronic system under circumstances the Employer permits). Elective Deferral Agreements cannot relate to Compensation that is payable prior to the later of the adoption or effective date of the cash or deferred arrangement (CODA). Elective Deferral Agreements shall be made, changed, or terminated according to the provisions of Section 3.1. An Elective Deferral Agreement may also be terminated according to the terms of an automatic contribution arrangement.
Elective Deferral Agreement means a written agreement entered into by and between the Adopting Employer and a Participant for a Program Year, which agreement describes the terms and conditions of such Participant’s arrangement to defer (i) up to one hundred percent (100%) of his Bonus that may be awarded with respect to such Program Year and/or (ii) up to fifty percent (50%) of his Salary that would otherwise be paid to the Participant during the Program Year absent his deferral election.   • Elective Deferral means the portion of Compensation which is deferred by a Participant under Section 4.1.

  • Excess Elective Deferrals means the amount of Elective Deferrals (as defined below) for a calendar year that the Participant designates to the Plan pursuant to the following procedure. The Participant’s designation: shall be submitted to the Administrator in writing no later than March 1; shall specify the Participant’s Excess Elective Deferrals for the preceding calendar year; and shall be accompanied by the Participant’s written statement that if the Excess Elective Deferrals is not distributed, it will, when added to amounts deferred under other plans or arrangements described in Section 401(k), 408(k) or 403(b) of the Code, exceed the limit imposed on the Participant by Section 402(g) of the Code for the year in which the deferral occurred.   • Deferral Election means the Participant’s election under Section 3.1 to defer all or a portion of his or her Compensation.

  • Deferral Year means each calendar year during which the Director makes, or is entitled to make, Compensation Deferrals under Section 3 hereof.

  • Matching Contribution means an Employer contribution made to this or any other defined contribution plan on behalf of a Participant on account of a Participant's Deferral Contribution.

  • Elective Contributions are amounts excludible from the Employee's gross income under Code Sections 125, 402(a)(8), 402(h) or 403(b), and contributed by the Employer, at the Employee's election, to a Code Section 401(k) arrangement, a Simplified Employee Pension, cafeteria plan or tax-sheltered annuity. The term "Compensation" does not include:

  • Salary reduction plan means a benefit plan whereby state and

  • Plan Year(s means the approximate twelve-month periods between annual meetings of the shareholders of the Company, which, for purposes of the Plan, are the periods for which annual retainers are earned.

  • Matching Contributions means local cash and/or in-kind contributions made by the Subrecipient, subcontractor, or other local resources that qualify as match for the Contract funding.

  • Deferral Election Form means the form established from time to time by the Plan Administrator that the Director completes, signs and returns to the Plan Administrator to designate the amount of the Deferrals.

  • Deferred Compensation Agreement means an agreement to participate and to defer compensation between a Participant and the Company in such form and consistent with terms of the Plan as the Company may prescribe from time to time.

  • Qualified Matching Contribution means any employer contribution allocated to an Eligible Employee's account under any plan of an Employer or a Related Company solely on account of "elective contributions" made on his behalf or "employee contributions" made by him that is a qualified matching contribution as defined in regulations issued under Code Section 401(k), is nonforfeitable when made, and is distributable only as permitted in regulations issued under Code Section 401(k).
