Emergency Measures definition

Emergency Measures means emergency remedial action under section 40 or an emergency prohibition order under section 43;
Emergency Measures means the immediate action necessary to alleviate an unexpected situation or sudden occurrence of a serious and urgent nature.
Emergency Measures means physical management techniques used in an emergency to manage a sudden, intense, or out-of-control behavior.

Examples of Emergency Measures in a sentence

  • It is a condition of the Collective Agreement that persons availing of the agreement will not be eligible for re-employment in the Public Service by any Public Service body (as defined by the Financial Emergency Measures in the Public Interest Acts 2009 – 2011) for a period of 2 years from termination of the employment.

  • Any party to the Dispute may seek preliminary relief at any time after negotiation has failed, but prior to arbitration, in accordance with the Optional Rules for Emergency Measures of Protection of the AAA Commercial Arbitration Rules and Mediation Procedures.

  • Any controversy or claim arising out of or relating to this Agreement, or the breach thereof, shall be settled by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Commercial Arbitration Rules, including its Optional Rules for Emergency Measures of Protection (collectively, the “Arbitration Rules”), and judgment on the award rendered by the arbitrator(s) may be entered in any court having jurisdiction thereof.


More Definitions of Emergency Measures

Emergency Measures means the impact of any emergency condition, or any action or inaction that the Person taking such action reasonably determines is necessary or prudent for such Person to take in connection with any emergency condition (including any COVID-19 Measures), including any epidemic, pandemic or other public health emergency, such as actions (a) to suspend or resume operation of all or a portion of any facilities or (b) intended to mitigate the adverse effects of such condition on the business, customers, personnel or other stakeholders of such Person.
Emergency Measures has the meaning given to it in Clause 17.10(b).
Emergency Measures means any reasonable emergency measures that are required to be taken immediately under applicable Environmental Law and in accordance with Remediation Standards in order to respond to an unacceptable immediate risk to human health or to the Environment, provided and to the extent that (i) the existence of such unacceptable immediate risk to human health or to the Environment and (ii) the reasonable emergency measures required to be taken immediately to respond thereto under applicable Environmental Law and in accordance with Remediation Standards shall have been determined (whether before or after such measures have been undertaken) by:
Emergency Measures means phytosanitary measures taken pursuant to section 29 (1) (a);
Emergency Measures means any commercially reasonable actions taken by a Person after it reasonably determines they are necessary and prudent for such Person or its Subsidiaries to take in order to mitigate any emergency condition involving endangerment of life, human health, safety or the environment (including COVID-19), such as actions (i) to suspend or resume operation of all or a portion of such Person’s or its Subsidiaries’ facilities, (ii) intended to mitigate the adverse effects of such condition on the business, customers, personnel or other stakeholders of such Person or its Subsidiaries, or (iii) intended to ensure compliance with any Law or any binding directive, restriction or guideline of or by any Governmental Authority (including any quarantine, “shelter in place,” “stay at home,” workforce reduction, social distancing, shut down, closure, sequester, safety or similar laws, directives, restrictions or guidelines of or promulgated by any Governmental Authority or public health authority, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the World Health Organization), in each and every case, solely to the extent that such actions would have been taken by a reasonable and prudent Person similarly situated.
Emergency Measures means Executive Order No. D-56-02 dated May 23, 2002, or any Proclamation or Order of the Governor of the State hereafter issued pursuant to the California Emergency Services Act (Chapter 7, Division 1, Title 2 of the California Government Code, as amended) (including, but not limited to, any regulations issued pursuant thereto) adopted in response to or in anticipation of the need to assure the availability of power to retail end-use customers in the State due to the inability or failure of an Electrical Corporation to purchase such power following the end of the Department's authority to enter into new Power Supply Contracts under ABIX.
Emergency Measures means any action required to be taken in connection with any pandemic in order to comply with applicable Law.
