Employment Assistance Fund definition

Employment Assistance Fund or ‘EAF’ means the Australian Government’s initiative which provides financial assistance for the costs of work related modifications and the work equipment for people with disability.

  • The Provider acknowledges and agrees that: an unethical manner for the purposes of clause 28.1(a) of this Agreement includes any practice that: involves inappropriately: paying a Wage Subsidy; or applying for an amount under the Employment Assistance Fund; or misuses or misappropriates: a Wage Subsidy; or an Approved Assistance Amount under the Employment Assistance Fund; and the practices described in clause 575(a) may result in the Department taking action under clause 302 [Remedies for breach].

  • Providers must, if requested by DSS or DJSB within 10 Business Days of DSS’s request, provide the documentary evidence referred to in Section 8 of the Employment Assistance Fund Guidelines to DSS’ or DJSB’s satisfaction.

Customized employment assumes the provision of reasonable accommodations and supports necessary for the individual to perform the functions of a job that is individually negotiated and developed.

  • Supported employment means the ongoing supports to participants who, because of their disabilities, need intensive ongoing support to obtain and maintain an individual job in competitive or customized employment, or self-employment, in an integrated work setting in the general workforce at or above the state’s minimum wage or at or above the customary wage and level of benefits paid by the employer for the same or similar work performed by individuals without disabilities. The outcome of this service is sustained paid employment at or above the minimum wage in an integrated setting in the general workforce in a job that meets personal and career goals. Supported employment services can be provided through many different service models.

  • Resettlement Assistance means the measures to ensure that project affected persons who may require to be physically relocated are provided with assistance such as moving allowances, residential housing or rentals whichever is feasible and as required, for ease of resettlement during relocation.
