Fire Route definition

Fire Route means an area on a highway or on a public parking lot or on private property where properly worded signs are on display indicating that parking is prohibited in order to provide fire department and other emergency vehicles unobstructed access to adjacent properties in the event of fire or other emergency or where a fire route is required to be established under a municipal site plan agreement or any municipal approval requiring the establishment of a fire route.

Fire Route means a private road, lane, ramp or other means of vehicular access to or from a building or structure and may include part of a parking lot.

Fire Route means any Private Roadway marked as a Fire Route by Authorized Fire Route signs as established by the Fire Chief. Authorized signs shall include but are not limited to signs at all vehicular accesses to private property indicating internal Driveways, aisles and roadways that are designated as Fire Routes. Any Fire Route marked by Authorized signs where both sides of a Private Roadway are not so designated the Fire Route shall be indicated as the side of the Private Roadway as designated and shall be 9 metres in width in accordance with the Ontario Building Code, as amended, or any successor legislation.

Examples of Fire Route in a sentence

• Where Authorized signs are displayed, no person shall park any Vehicle in any Fire Route.

• No person, being the Owner of a property on which a Fire Route is located, shall fail to keep the Fire Route free and clear of obstructions.

More Definitions of Fire Route

Fire Route means any Private Roadway, Highway, lane, ramp, part of a parking facility or other means of vehicular access to or egress from a building or structure designated as a fire route by an Authorized Sign;
