Industrial Work definition

Industrial Work means such work as the Minister may declare by order under section 2 to be industrial work for the purposes of this Act;
Industrial Work means work pertaining to facilities such as factories, plants, processing operations and similar operations”. This replaces all current Recall clauses in local appendices except under maintenance in Zone 2. Employers may recall prior employees (Local Union Members) laid off & available for work for a period of 15 working days from the date of lay off. In all other cases the contractor has the right to recall for a period of 3 months if the member had been employed for a period of 6 months (whether employed on one or multiple projects over the six months). An employer may recall former employees (Local Union Members) provided the employee has not been employed elsewhere.
Industrial Work means to include all work performed under the scope of work of this Agreement and shall include the process areas only of the following: mines, power plants, pulp xxxxx, saw xxxxx, pipe lines, pumping stations, compressor stations refineries, packing houses, breweries, towers, stacks, cranes and rigging, bridges, all tank lining, grain elevators and terminals, shafts, silos, penstocks and/or any work not classified as residential or commercial.

More Definitions of Industrial Work

Industrial Work is used herein, it shall be defined to mean petro-chemical processing plants and/or related storage facilities or utility power house installations and/or related fuel processing facilities.
Industrial Work means those jobs specifically listed in the ‘DEFINITION OF INDUSTRIAL PROJECTS” appearing near the end of the “INDUSTRIAL WORK” section of this collective agreement.

  • Industrial building means a building used for or in connection with,

  • tidal work means so much of any work authorised by this Order as is on, under or over tidal waters or tidal lands below the level of high water;

  • industrial premises means any place or premises (not being a private dwelling house), including the precincts thereof, in which or in any part of which any industry, trade, business, occupation or manufacturing is being ordinarily carried on with or without the aid of power and includes a godown attached thereto;

  • Industrial Property Rights means all of the Company's patents, trademarks, trade names, inventions, copyrights, know-how or trade secrets, formulas and science, now in existence or hereafter developed or acquired by the Company or for its use, relating to any and all products and services which are developed, formulated and/or manufactured by the Company.
