JAMS Comprehensive Rules definition

JAMS Comprehensive Rules has the meaning given to such term in Section 7(a).

More Definitions of JAMS Comprehensive Rules

JAMS Comprehensive Rules has the meaning specified in Section 8(a) of this Agreement.
JAMS Comprehensive Rules in effect at the time of the arbitration shall govern the arbitration, except as they may be modified herein or by mutual written agreement of the parties. If no disputed claim or counterclaim exceeds $250,000, not including interest or attorneys’ fees, the JAMS Streamlined Arbitration Rules and Procedures (“JAMS Streamlined Rules”) in effect at the time of the arbitration shall govern the arbitration, except as they may be modified herein or by mutual written agreement of the parties.
JAMS Comprehensive Rules. (except as modified herein). Commencement of Arbitration shall be governed by the JAMS Comprehensive Rules and shall be initiated by a Demand for Arbitration filed with JAMS (“Demand for Arbitration”). Each Party acknowledges and agrees that this Reinsurance Agreement constitutes a pre-dispute written contractual provision requiring the Parties to arbitrate their dispute and claims and specifying JAMS administration. Each Party shall respond to the Commencement Letter issued thereafter by JAMS (“Commencement Letter”) and notify the JAMS Administrator of the identity in writing of its party-selected Arbitrator within thirty (30) calendar days following issuance of the Commencement Letter. If the Arbitrators are chosen by the Parties but fail to agree upon the selection of a Chair within thirty (30) calendar days following notice of appointment as provided herein, the Chair shall be determined by the process specified in the JAMS Comprehensive Rules, provided that the Chair candidates shall be from the list of available neutrals in the Los Angeles office of JAMS.
