Laneways definition

Laneways means the shared access lanes (including but not limited to any landscaping, vegetation and improvements thereon) vested, maintained and/or managed by any Laneway Society from time to time.

  • Landscaped area means all the planting areas, turf areas, and water features in a landscape design plan subject to the Maximum Applied Water Allowance and Estimated Applied Water Use calculations. The landscaped area does not include footprints of buildings or structures, sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, decks, patios, gravel or stone walks, other pervious or non-pervious hardscapes, and other non-irrigated areas designated for non-development (e.g., open spaces and existing native vegetation).

  • Drainage means the movement of water to a place of disposal, whether by way of the natural characteristics of the ground surface or by artificial means;

  • Parks means the New York City Department of Parks & Recreation.

  • Outbuilding means and refer to structures such as (by way of example and not limitation) storage buildings, sheds, greenhouses, gazebos and other Roofed Structures.

  • Park or "parking" when prohibited means the standing of a vehicle, whether occupied or not, except when standing temporarily for the purpose of and while actually engaged in loading or unloading merchandise or passengers;

  • Lobby means a covered space in which all the adjoining rooms open;

  • Alley means a public right-of-way, other than a street, affording secondary means of access to abutting property.
