Library Pictures definition

Library Pictures means any and all completed audio, visual and/or audiovisual works which the Company or any of its Subsidiaries Exploits or has the right to Exploit, including any motion pictures, films, movies-of-the-week, television programs, shows, series, mini-series, episodes, pilots, specials, documentaries, cartoons, compilations, promotional films, clips, trailers and shorts and any other programs or audio-visual works, whether animated, live action or both, in any form or any medium, whether now known or hereafter developed (including theatrical, videocassette, videodisc and other home video, network, free, cable, pay, satellite, syndication, and/or any other television medium, pay-per-view, video-on-demand, advertising-supported-video-on-demand, subscription on-demand, subscription video-on-demand, electronic sell through, Internet, mobile device and other new media), in each case whether recorded digitally, on film, videotape, cassette, cartridge, disc or on or by any other means, method, process or device, whether now known or hereafter developed.
Library Pictures means any and all completed audio, visual and/or audiovisual works to which any (i) NBCU Transferor or any NBCU Entity or (ii) any Comcast Transferor or any Contributed Comcast Subsidiary, as applicable, has rights, including any motion pictures, films, movies-of-the-week, television programs, series, mini-series, pilots, specials, documentaries, cartoons, compilations, promotional films, trailers and shorts and any other programs or audio-visual works, whether animated, live action or both, produced for Exploitation in any form or any medium, whether now known or hereafter developed (including theatrical, videocassette, videodisc and other home video, network, free, cable, pay, satellite, syndication, and/or any other television medium, pay-per-view, video-on-demand, near-video-on-demand, subscription on-demand, subscription video-on-demand, Internet and other new media), either within or outside the U.S., in each case whether recorded on film, videotape, cassette, cartridge, disc or on or by any other means, method, process or device, whether now known or hereafter developed. Notwithstanding the foregoing, “Library Pictures” shall only include those works for which the Intellectual Property contained therein would otherwise constitute NBCU Intellectual Property or Comcast Intellectual Property, as applicable.
Library Pictures means every feature length motion picture (a) that is initially released theatrically, direct-to-video, or on television in the Territory; (b) that was initially released in the Territory more than twelve (12) months prior to the then-current date or, in the case of a Sony Pictures Classics release, more than fourteen (14) months of the then-current date; and (c) for which Studio, its affiliates and/or film labels have the Necessary Rights.

  • An original negative and soundtrack of each of the Library Pictures may be used for the purpose of making a first class, fine grain print and a first class, fine grain production master.
