Malus definition

Malus means the reduction of elements of an individual’s remuneration in accordance with rule 4 as the Committee considers appropriate;
Malus means the discretion conferred on the Compensation Committee to decide that the Vesting of an Award granted under this Plan or any other benefit conferred under this Plan or any other incentive plan is to be reduced, cancelled or subject to further conditions in the manner provided for in Rule 8;
Malus means the reduction or forfeiture of an Award prior to its Vesting in accordance with Rule 13 (Malus and Clawback) in such manner and for such amounts as the Committee determines to be appropriate;

Malus means the reduction and/or cancellation of unpaid, unvested or unsettled Incentive Remuneration when a Trigger Event is discovered, and the Board seeks to fulfill its fiduciary duty to shareholders by invoking its discretion to reduce and/or cancel the Incentive Remuneration;
Malus means arrangement that permits the AIFM to prevent vesting of all or part of the amount of a deferred remuneration award in relation to risk outcomes or performances of the AIFM as a whole, the business unit, the AIF and, where possible the staff member. Malus is a form of ex-post risk adjustment.
