Marketing Fund definition

Marketing Fund shall have the meaning set forth in Section 2.5(b).
Marketing Fund has the meaning given to it in Section 1 of Schedule 6.2.
Marketing Fund means that certain fund (or any successor to such fund) maintained by Manager or one of its Affiliates, in its capacity as franchisor of the System, to pay for the following System costs: all costs associated with developing, preparing, producing, directing, administering, conducting, maintaining and disseminating advertising, marketing, promotional and public relations materials, programs, campaigns, sales and marketing seminars and training programs, and similar activities of every kind and nature, including the Residence Inn directory; conducting market research; and paying the central operational costs of the Residence Inn reservation system; provided, however, that any costs described in this definition of Marketing Fund may, at the option of the Manager and any association which may be formed by the Residence Inn by Marriott franchisees, be charged directly to each inn in the System on the basis of actual use by or benefit to each inn and, in such event, shall become Deductions. Owner shall contribute to the Marketing Fund. As of the Effective Date, the current system-wide charge is two and one-half percent (2.5%) of Guest Room Revenues, but is subject to change on an annual basis; provided, however, the system-wide charge shall not be increased without a majority vote by members of The Residence Inn Association or its successor in favor of such increase.

Examples of Marketing Fund in a sentence

  • Each semi-annual Marketing Plan shall fully support the Retailer’s retail marketing plan and set forth the manner in which amounts in the Marketing Fund (as defined below) will be expended, and which party shall be responsible for any expenditure(s) in excess of the Marketing Fund.

  • We do not guarantee that you will benefit from the Marketing Fund in proportion to your contributions to the Marketing Fund.

  • We may, but are not obligated to, establish the Marketing Fund, a segregated or independent fund into which all Marketing Fees will be paid.

  • Any sales and other materials produced with Marketing Fund monies will be made available to you without charge or at a reasonable cost.

  • For any Partial Lease Year during the term of this Lease, or for any partial month, the amount of Tenant's contribution to the Marketing Fund shall be adjusted on a pro-rata basis to reflect such Partial Lease Year or partial month.


More Definitions of Marketing Fund

Marketing Fund means money collected by Franchisor for Marketing Fund Activities.
Marketing Fund means any fund created for the purpose of marketing, advertising or any other related purpose;
Marketing Fund means the media fund or other like fund or organization established, operated and maintained by Manager in accordance with the Operating Budget for the advertising, merchandising and promotion of the Property.
Marketing Fund is defined in Section 8.1.
Marketing Fund means the fund that Franchisor may elect to establish to promote the JINYA Ramen Bar Marks and all JINYA Ramen Bars.
Marketing Fund means the marketing fund developed and established for the purpose of promoting and executing Marketing Programs and Activities relating to the Branded Restaurants and directing, preparing and/or placing advertising, promotions and/or communications to build the brand, in each case, on a regional or national basis.
Marketing Fund means the separate bank account used by us for the purposes specified in this Franchise Agreement. The Marketing Fund is not a trust or escrow account, and is managed by us in our sole discretion.
