Seminars and Training Programs. In the event Manager conducts seminars, training sessions, or similar events which are generally made available to Manager’s clients, LACERA shall be invited to attend upon the same terms and conditions as such other clients. If LACERA reimburses the Manager for costs associated with LACERA’s attendance, the Manager will reduce the next quarterly invoice by the amount reimbursed.

Seminars and Training Programs. The City Manager, or designee, may grant leave with pay for members to attend seminars and training courses to further the member's abilities to perform his/her duties. Applications for such training leave shall be made through the Chief to the City Manager.

If the Vendor offers to pay the cost of such events and/or the travel or lodging expenses incurred by its clients in connection with attending such events, the Vendor shall reimburse BTI for such expenses on the same basis as the Vendor reimburses the expenses of its other clients.

Seminars and Training Programs. In the event Actuary conducts seminars, training sessions or similar events which are generally made available to Actuary's clients, LACERA shall be invited to attend upon comparable terms and conditions as such other clients. If Actuary offers to pay the cost of such events and/or the travel or lodging expenses incurred by its clients in connection with attending such events and if XXXXXX is willing to accept reimbursement, Actuary shall reimburse LACERA for such expenses on a comparable basis as Actuary reimburses the expenses of its other clients.

  • Training Programs All employees shall successfully complete all necessary training prior to being assigned work (e.g., all employees will complete health and safety training prior to being assigned to task). Nothing in this Article or provision shall constitute a waiver of either party’s bargaining obligations or defenses.   • Education and Training The foundation of this Program is education and voluntary compliance. It is recognized that alcohol and chemical dependency may make voluntary cessation of use difficult, and one of the Program’s principal aims is to make voluntary steps toward ending substance abuse easily available. The outside contractor shall review and develop on-going educational and training information on the adverse consequences of substance abuse and the responsibility to avoid being under the influence of alcohol or chemicals at work. Certain training required by the DOT Regulations shall be the responsibility of the Substance Abuse Program.

  • Employment and Training Administration The ratio of trainees to journeymen on the job site shall not be greater than permitted under the plan approved by the Employment and Training Administration. Every trainee must be paid at not less than the rate specified in the approved program for the trainee's level of progress, expressed as a percentage of the journeyman hourly rate specified in the applicable wage determination. Trainees shall be paid fringe benefits in accordance with the provisions of the trainee program. If the trainee program does not mention fringe benefits, trainees shall be paid the full amount of fringe benefits listed on the wage determination unless the Administrator of the Wage and Hour Division determines that there is an apprenticeship program associated with the corresponding journeyman wage rate on the wage determination which provides for less than full fringe benefits for apprentices. Any employee listed on the payroll at a trainee rate who is not registered and participating in a training plan approved by the Employment and Training Administration shall be paid not less than the applicable wage rate on the wage determination for the classification of work actually performed. In addition, any trainee performing work on the job site in excess of the ratio permitted under the registered program shall be paid not less than the applicable wage rate on the wage determination for the work actually performed. In the event the Employment and Training Administration withdraws approval of a training program, the contractor will no longer be permitted to utilize trainees at less than the applicable predetermined rate for the work performed until an acceptable program is approved.

  • Job Training The Employer and the Union shall establish a Joint Committee on Training and Skill Upgrading for the following purposes:

  • Driver Training A. All drivers are to be provided with appropriate training and refresher courses each year in the following areas as a minimum: * Proper use of equipment including communications equipment; * Defensive driving; * Emergency and accident procedures; * Identifying unusual passenger behavior; * Student harassment and bullying; * Conducting evacuation drills; * Sensitivity training in working with disabled persons; * Human relation skills in working with parents, school staff, etc; * General vehicle maintenance and pre-trip inspections; and * Map reading and city street coordinates. The Department of Business and Transportation Services may review Contractors’ bus driver training program, upon request.
