OUTDOOR STORAGE definition

OUTDOOR STORAGE means the storage of merchandise, goods, inventory, materials or equipment or other items, which are not intended for immediate sale, by locating them on a lot exterior to a building.

OUTDOOR STORAGE means means the storage of goods or materials, for more than 72 hours, which are not located within a fully enclosed building, and excludes the storage of shipping containers and vehicles. (BYLAW 7615, 2013)

OUTDOOR STORAGE means the occasional or continuous keeping of goods, inventory, materials or machinery or equipment outside, but does not include damaged, impounded or inoperable vehicles.

OUTDOOR STORAGE means a commercial use in which an outdoor area is used for the long-term (more than seventy-two (72) hours) retention of materials, containers and/or equipment. Outdoor storage does not include sale, repair, incineration, recycling or discarding of materials or equipment. Outdoor storage areas are not accessible to the public unless an agent of the business is present. Outdoor parking areas for two (2) or more fleet vehicles of more than ten thousand (10,000) pounds gross vehicle weight shall also be considered outdoor storage. Temporary out- door storage of construction equipment and materials associated with an active permit to demolish or erect a structure and automotive retail sales areas where motorized vehicles are stored for the purpose of direct sale to the ultimate consumer shall not be considered outdoor storage.

OUTDOOR STORAGE means the storage of any item located outside of a building not primarily for the encouragement of sale of the item or of similar items at that location, but primarily for storage purposes. PARKING SPACE means an area of not less than one hundred eighty (180) square feet, measuring nine (9) by twenty (20) feet exclusive of driveways or aisles, for the temporary parking or storage of motor vehicles. PERSON means an individual, association, firm, partnership, corporation, incorporated company, organization, trustee, or agent, and the heirs, executors, or other legal representatives of a person to whom the context can apply according to law. PERSONAL SERVICE ESTABLISHMENT means a building or part of a building in which persons are employed in furnishing services and otherwise administering to the individual and personal needs of persons, and without limiting the generality of the foregoing may include such establishments as xxxxxx shops, beauty parlours, automatic laundry shops, hairdressing shops, shoe repair and shoe shining shops, and depots for collecting dry cleaning and laundry, but excludes any manufacturing or fabrication of goods for sale.

OUTDOOR STORAGE means the storage of equipment, materials, containers, goods and supplies that is not enclosed, in whole or in part, within a building or structure.

OUTDOOR STORAGE means the use of land for the outside storage of equipment, goods or materials. Outdoor storage of goods and materials used by an industry as an integral part of its manufacturing operation shall in no way be construed to be a Salvage, Recycling or Scrap Yard.
