Patient Safety Activities definition

Patient Safety Activities means the following activi-
Patient Safety Activities means: Efforts to improve patient safety and the quality of health care delivery; the collection and analysis of PSWP; the development and dissemination of information with respect to improving patient safety; the utilization of PSWP for the purposes of encouraging a culture of safety and of providing feedback and assistance to effectively minimize patient risk; the maintenance of procedures to preserve confidentiality with respect to PSWP; the provision of appropriate security measures with respect to PSWP; and, the utilization of qualified staff.
Patient Safety Activities means the following activities carried out by the Performance Improvement (peer review) Committee, Quality Assessment/Performance Improvement Committee, the Medical Staff or the Hospital:

Examples of Patient Safety Activities in a sentence

Patient Safety Activities means the following activities carried out by or on behalf of a PSO or a Provider that are specified in the Patient Safety Rule: (1) Efforts to improve patient safety and the quality of health care delivery;
Patient Safety Activities means the following activities carried out by or on behalf of a PSO or a provider: (1) efforts to improve patient safety and the quality of health care delivery; (2) the collection and analysis of patient safety work product; (3) the development and dissemination of information with respect to improving patient safety, such as recommendations, protocols, or information regarding best practices; (4) the utilization of patient safety work product for the purposes of encouraging a culture of safety and of providing feedback and assistance to effectively minimize patient risk; (5) the maintenance of procedures to preserve confidentiality with respect to patient safety work product; (6) the provision of appropriate security measures with respect to patient safety work product; (7) the utilization of qualified staff; and (8) activities related to the operation of a patient safety evaluation system (“PSES”) and to the provision of feedback to participants in a PSES.

Related to Patient Safety Activities

  • Medical Specialist means any medical practitioner who is vocationally registered by the Medical Council under the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003 in one of the approved branches of medicine and who is employed in either that branch of medicine or in a similar capacity with minimal oversight.

  • Medical Affairs Activities means, with respect to any country or other jurisdiction in the Territory, the coordination of medical information requests and field based medical scientific liaisons with respect to Licensed Compounds or Licensed Products, including activities of medical scientific liaisons and the provision of medical information services with respect to a Licensed Compound or Licensed Product.

  • Quality Management Plan means the portion of the Project Development Plan providing the information requested in Section 4.3 of Exhibit B to the ITP.

  • School activities means any activity sponsored by the school including, but not limited to, classroom work, library activities, physical education classes, official assemblies and other similar gatherings, school athletic contests, band concerts, school plays and other theatrical productions, and in-school lunch periods.

  • Clinical nurse specialist means a registered nurse with relevant post-basic qualifications and 12 months’ experience working in the clinical area of his/her specified post-basic qualification, or a minimum of four years’ post-basic registration experience, including three years’ experience in the relevant specialist field and who satisfies the local criteria.

  • Safety-sensitive function means all time from the time a driver begins to work or is required to be in readiness to work until the time he/she is relieved from work and all responsibility for performing work.

  • Drug therapy management means the review of a drug therapy regimen of a patient by one or more pharmacists for the purpose of evaluating and rendering advice to one or more practitioners regarding adjustment of the regimen.

  • Emergency medical services personnel means that term as defined in section 20904 of the public health code, 1978 PA 368, MCL 333.20904.
