Preparation Day definition

Preparation Day means a workday during which a Certified Employee is not assigned teaching duties, but the Certified Employee is involved in professional preparation.
Preparation Day means a workday during which a teacher is not assigned instructional duties, but the teacher is participating in professional preparation.
Preparation Day or “Teacher’s Early Release Wednesday” (Section 9.3.2) means time for unassigned professional duties such as instructional planning and preparation free of District required or requested conferences/staff-grade leveldepartment meetings, in-service, IEP meetings, et cetera. During this period of time a teacher may not be required by the District to participate in or be asked by the District to volunteer to participate in any duty that the District or its administration may determine to be useful and/or important.

Examples of Preparation Day in a sentence

  • One day of the work year shall be dedicated for Elementary Report Card/Conference Preparation Day for the elementary staff and Secondary Change-Over Day for record keeping or clerical duties for the secondary staff.

  • Prior to the start of the assignment, the Teacher-Teaching-On-Call will be entitled to a Transitional Preparation Day.

  • Grades of ‘I’ will roll to ‘F’ on Academic Preparation Day in the Fall and Spring semesters.

  • Such hours shall be worked on the special education teacher’s Preparation Day or the Special Education Preparation Day.

  • The purpose of the Preparation Day is to allow certified classroom teachers, including special area teachers, a day to attend to professional duties.

  • The Preparation Day may be scheduled up to February 28th of each school year.

  • In the event a substitute is not secured, the certified teacher may need to re-schedule the Preparation Day.

  • Marriage Preparation Day offers couples the experience to dialogue honestly and intensely about their prospective life together.

  • Once the Preparation Day is approved, the certified teacher will enter the requested day into the absence reporting system no less than two (2) working days prior to the Preparation Day.

  • Each certified classroom teacher will be allowed one (1) Preparation Day during the school year.

Related to Preparation Day

  • Calculation Day means any Index Business Day during the Calculation Period on which a Market Disruption Event has not occurred.

  • Valuation Day means any day on which Repo Custodian is open for business.

  • Election Day means the day fixed under this Act for the holding of any poll needed for an election;

  • Calculation Period means the period from and including the seventh scheduled Index Business Day prior to the Stated Maturity to and including the second scheduled Index Business Day prior to the Stated Maturity.

  • Billing Period means (subject to Article 6.1 of the Agreement) the calendar month ending with the Metering Date. The first Billing Period shall commence from the Commercial Operation Date and end with the Metering Date corresponding to the month in which the Commercial Operation Date occurs.

  • Termination Day means: (a) each day on which the conditions set forth in Section 2 of Exhibit II to the Agreement are not satisfied or (b) each day that occurs on or after the Facility Termination Date.

  • Settlement Period has the meaning specified therefor in Section 2.02(d)(i) hereof.

  • Monthly Period means the period from and including the first day of a calendar month to and including the last day of such calendar month.

  • Subsequent Reset Period means the period from (and including) the Second Reset Date to (but excluding) the next Subsequent Reset Date, and each successive period from (and including) a Subsequent Reset Date to (but excluding) the next succeeding Subsequent Reset Date; and

  • Valuation Business Day means, with respect to each Reference Currency, any day, other than a Saturday or Sunday, that is neither a legal holiday nor a day on which commercial banks are authorized or required by law, regulation or executive order to close (including for dealings in foreign exchange in accordance with the practice of the foreign exchange market) in the city or jurisdiction indicated in the table below:

  • Calendar Quarter means the respective periods of three consecutive calendar months ending on March 31, June 30, September 30 and December 31.

  • Quotation Day means, in relation to any period for which an interest rate is to be determined, two (2) Business Days before the first day of that period.
