Primary Impact Employee definition

Primary Impact Employee is an employee who enters the Job Bank due to the elimination of their position. A “Secondary Impact Employee” is an employee who enters the Job Bank because they may be displaced by a Primary Impact Employee. All affected employees may exercise the displacement, “bumping” and/or layoff rights immediately. A Primary Impact Employee must exercise displacement or bumping rights within forty-five (45) days of entering the Job Bank (or within twenty-two [22] days of entering the Job Bank for an employee entitled to 30-days in the Job Bank). A Primary Impact Employee who exercises their displacement or bumping rights within the first thirty (30) days from entering the Job Bank (within the first fifteen [15] days for an employee entitled to 30-days in the Job Bank) shall have 8 hours added to the employee’s vacation bank. A Secondary Impact Employee must exercise their displacement or bumping rights within seven (7) calendar days of being displaced or bumped. Displacement and bumping rights shall be forfeited unless exercised by the deadlines specified in this paragraph or in the provisions of 2.a iii, Lateral Transfers, above. Regardless of when bumping rights are exercised, any change in the compensation of the employee resulting from the exercise of bumping rights shall not take effect until after the employee’s term in the Job Bank would have expired had the employee remained in the Job Bank for the maximum period.

  • A Primary Impact Employee who exercises his/her displacement or bumping rights within the first thirty (30) days from entering the Job Bank (within the first fifteen [15] days for an employee entitled to 30-days in the Job Bank) shall have 8 hours added to the employee’s vacation bank.

  • Contract employee means a probationary faculty employee or a grant- funded employee hired on a year-to-year basis in accordance with Education Code 87470.

  • Relevant Employee means the Previous Contractor Employees, the Previous Contractor Third Party Employees and Previous Contractor Sub-contractor Employees;

  • School employee means (1) a teacher, substitute teacher, school administrator, school superintendent, guidance counselor, psychologist, social worker, nurse, physician, school paraprofessional or coach employed by a local or regional board of education or working in a public elementary, middle or high school; or (2) any other individual who, in the performance of his or her duties, has regular contact with students and who provides services to or on behalf of students enrolled in a public elementary, middle or high school, pursuant to a contract with the local or regional board of education.

  • Designated Employee means an employee who has been designated by the school to receive complaints of hazing, harassment and bullying pursuant to subdivision 16 V.S.A. 570a(a)(7). The designated employees for each school building are identified in Appendix A of this policy.

  • relevant employer means any company incorporated or registered under the Companies Act (Cap. 50) or any person registered under the Business Names Registration Act 2014;

  • Hired Employee has the meaning set forth in Section 6.1.6.

  • Tipped employee means any employee engaged in an occupation in which s/he customarily and regularly receives more than $30 per month in tips. Tips include amounts designated as a tip by credit card customers on their charge slips. Nothing in this rule prevents an employer from requiring employees to share or allocate such tips or gratuities on a pre-established basis among other employees who customarily and regularly receive tips. Employer-required sharing of tips with employees who do not customarily and regularly receive tips, such as management or food preparers, or deduction of credit card processing fees from tipped employees, shall nullify allowable tip credits towards the minimum wage.

  • Term Employee means an employee hired for a specific term of employment. The term of employment may be based on a specific period of time or the completion of a specific job or until the occurrence of a specified event.

  • Affected employee means an employee who would be affected by the grant or denial of a variance, or any one of the employee’s authorized representatives, such as the collective bargaining agent.

  • Newly hired employee or “New Hire” means any employee, whether permanent, full-time, or part-time, hired by the Office and who is still employed as of the date of new employee orientation. It also includes all employees who are or have been previously employed by the Office and whose current position has placed them in the bargaining unit represented by CSEA. For those latter employees, for purposes of this article only, the “date of hire” is the date upon which the employees’ employment status changed as such that the employee was placed in the CSEA unit.

  • New employee orientation means the onboarding process of a newly hired classified employee, whether in person, online, or through other means or mediums, in which employees are advised of their employment status, rights, benefits, duties and responsibilities, or any other employment-related matters.

  • Public employee means an individual holding a position by appointment or employment in the government of this state, in the government of 1 or more of the political subdivisions of this state, in the public school service, in a public or special district, in the service of an authority, commission, or board, or in any other branch of the public service, subject to the following exceptions:

  • Fixed term employee means a person engaged for a specified term or for the duration of a specified task in accordance with section 37(3)(b) of the State Service Act 2000.

  • Current Employee has the meaning set forth in Section 7.8(a).

  • Company Employee means any current or former employee, independent contractor or director of the Company or any Company Affiliate.

  • Owner-Employee means a Self-Employed Individual who is a partner and owns more than 10% of either the capital or profits interest of the partnership.

  • Non-Employee means a consultant, adviser, service provider, Controlling Shareholder or any other person who is not an Employee.

  • Relevant Employees means the employees of the Contractor (including the Transferring Employees) who are wholly or mainly assigned to work in the provision of the Services and who are/will be the subject of a Relevant Transfer by virtue of the application of the TUPE Regulations.

  • Prime Contractor employee, as used in this clause, means any officer, partner, employee, or agent of a prime Contractor.
