Psychiatric Health Facility definition

Psychiatric Health Facility means a facility licensed under the provisions beginning with Section 77001 of Chapter 9, Division 5, Title 22 of the California Code of Regulations. “Psychiatric Health Facility Services” are therapeutic and/or rehabilitative services provided in a psychiatric health facility on an inpatient basis to beneficiaries who need acute care, which meets the criteria of Section 1820.205 of Chapter 11, Division 1, Title 9 of the California Code of Regulations, and whose physical health needs can be met in an affiliated general acute care hospital or in outpatient settings. These services are separate from those categorized as “Psychiatric Hospital Inpatient.”
Psychiatric Health Facility means a facility licensed by the Department under the provisions of Chapter 9, Division 5 of Title 22, beginning with Section 77001. For the purposes of this Chapter, psychiatric health facilities that have been certified by the State Department of Health Services as Medi-Cal providers of inpatient hospital services will be governed by the provisions applicable to hospitals and psychiatric inpatient hospital services, except when specifically indicated in context.
Psychiatric Health Facility as defined in Section 1250.2 of the California Health and Safety Code. MHSA Non-Participating Provider — a provider who does not have an agreement in effect with the MHSA for the provi- sion of Mental Health Services. Note: MHSA Non- Participating Providers may include Blue Shield of California Preferred/Participating Providers if the Provider does not also have an agreement with the MHSA. MHSA Participating Provider — a provider who has an agreement in effect with the MHSA for the provision of Men- tal Health Services. Non-Participating Home Health Care and Home Infusion Agency — agencies which have not contracted with Blue Shield of California and whose services are not covered un- less prior authorized by Blue Shield of California. Non-Participating / Non-Preferred Provider — any pro- vider who has not contracted with Blue Shield of California to accept Blue Shield of California's payment, plus any appli- cable Deductible, copayment, or amount in excess of speci- fied benefit maximums, as payment-in-full for covered Ser- vices, except as provided in the section entitled Preventive Care Benefits. Note: this definition does not apply to Mental Health Ser- vices. For Non-Participating Providers for Mental Health see the Mental Health Service Administrator (MHSA) Non- Participating Providers definition above. Non-Preferred Bariatric Surgery Services Providers – any provider that has not contracted with Blue Shield of Califor- xxx to furnish bariatric surgery services and accept xxxx- bursement at negotiated rates, and that has not been designat- ed as a contracted bariatric surgery services provider by Blue Shield of California. Non-Preferred Bariatric Surgery Ser- vices Providers may include Blue Shield of California Pre- ferred / Participating Providers if the Provider does not also have an agreement with Blue Shield of California to provide bariatric surgery services. Note: bariatric surgery services are not covered for Members who reside in designated counties in California if the service is provided b a Non-Preferred Bariatric Surgery Services Provider.
