Ready For First Fire definition

Ready For First Fire means the Equipment is expected to be substantially in the material condition of Unit Installation, where the status of Ready for First Fire shall serve as notice by Purchaser to Seller that Unit #4, upon completion of Purchaser-furnished work and services expressly required by this Contract, including those Certain Purchaser Test Obligations, shall be available for commencement of the Performance Tests.
Ready For First Fire means, with respect to a Power Block, the physical completion of such Power Block, except for Substantial Completion Punch List items, including (a) setting of all Equipment on foundations, (b) connecting the Equipment to all other applicable Equipment with piping, wiring, controls, and safety systems, (c) ensuring that the Equipment and related operating systems have been individually cleaned, leak-checked, lubricated and point-to-point checked to verify that such Equipment and such related operating systems have been correctly installed so as to respond to simulated test signals equivalent to actual signals received during operation, (d) performing the following pre-commissioning activities with respect to the applicable Power Block or system or component thereof: cold alignment of all rotating equipment to manufacturer's tolerances, stroking of all control valves, phase rotation of electrical equipment, and continuity of other electrical circuits (including loop checks) and response of controls and control equipment, (e) testing, adjusting and sealing (as required) all mechanical safety devices, and satisfying all safety and fire protection requirements for the Power Block, and (e) ensuring that such Equipment and related operating systems are ready for first fire, start-up, initial operation, Commissioning, adjustment and testing, in all such cases as may be necessary to permit the Power Block to be fired, started up, operated, adjusted and tested safely and without damage to the Power Block, any other part of the Facility or any other property, and without injury to any Person.
Ready For First Fire shall occur with respect to the Power Island Equipment when the following requirements have been satisfied:

  • Container Terminal means any container terminal contemplated in section 6(1)(i);

  • Contractor Selection of Leave Trees means crop and leave trees are unmarked and will be selected by the Contractor.

  • Ready for Service Date means the Day designated as such by Company by Notice to Customer stating that Company has Facilities which are ready for and are capable of rendering the Service applied for by Customer.

  • Deadly force means any use of force that creates a substantial risk of causing death or serious bodily injury, including, but not limited to, the discharge of a firearm.

  • Executive Severance Plan means the Company’s Senior Executive Employee Severance Pay Plan, as in effect from time to time.

  • Executive session means all or part of a meeting that is closed or confidential.

  • Change in Control of the Corporation means a change in control of a nature that would be required to be reported in response to Item 6(e) of Schedule 14A of Regulation 14A promulgated under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, as amended ("Exchange Act"), or any successor thereto, whether or not the Corporation is registered under the Exchange Act; provided that, without limitation, such a change in control shall be deemed to have occurred if (i) any "person" (as such term is used in Sections 13(d) and 14(d) of the Exchange Act) is or becomes the "beneficial owner" (as defined in Rule 13d-3 under the Exchange Act), directly or indirectly, of securities of the Corporation representing 25% or more of the combined voting power of the Corporation's then outstanding securities; or (ii) during any period of two consecutive years, individuals who at the beginning of such period constitute the Board of Directors of the Corporation cease for any reason to constitute at least a majority thereof unless the election, or the nomination for election by stockholders, of each new director was approved by a vote of at least two-thirds of the directors then still in office who were directors at the beginning of the period.

  • member of staff means a person appointed to or holding a paid office or employment under the authority; and

  • Termination of parental rights means the permanent elimination of all parental rights and duties, including residual parental rights and duties, by court order.

  • certificate of fitness means a certificate issued by the Department to a contract bus carrier.

  • Service corporation means a corporation organized under ss. 180.1903 to 180.1921.

  • Partnership Change of Control means Tesoro Corporation ceases to Control the General Partner.

  • Medical certificate of fitness means a certificate valid for one year issued by an occupational health practitioner, issued in terms of these regulations, whom shall be registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa;

  • Reconstructive breast surgery means surgery performed as a result of a mastectomy to reestablish symmetry between the two breasts and includes augmentation mammoplasty, reductive mammoplasty, and mastopexy.

  • Vice-Chancellor means the Vice-Chancellor of the University.

  • Clinical staff means persons who work in a hospital whose duties include the personal care or medical treatment of patients. “Clinical staff” includes, but is not limited to, credentialed physicians, physicians’ assistants, nurses, nursing aides, medical technicians, therapists, and other individuals involved in the personal care or medical treatment of patients.

  • Dental Staff means the Dentists who have been appointed by the Board to the Dental Staff;

  • angle of repose means the steepest angle of a surface at which a mass of loose or fragmented material will remain stationary in a pile on the surface, rather than sliding or crumbling away;

  • Ready for Service or "RFS" – A Collocation job is considered to be Ready for Service when Qwest has completed all operational work in accordance with CLEC Application and makes functional space available to CLEC. Such work includes, but is not necessarily limited to: DC power (fuses available, Battery Distribution Fuse Board (BDFB) is powered, and cables between CLEC and power are terminated), cage enclosures, primary AC outlet, cable racking, and circuit terminations (e.g., fiber jumpers are placed between the outside plant fiber distribution panel and the Central Office fiber distribution panel serving CLEC) and APOT/CFA are complete, telephone service, and other services and facilities ordered by CLEC for Provisioning by the RFS date.

  • Erosion and sediment control plan or "plan" means a document containing material for the conservation of soil and water resources of a unit or group of units of land. It may include appropriate maps, an appropriate soil and water plan inventory and management information with needed interpretations, and a record of decisions contributing to conservation treatment. The plan shall contain all major conservation decisions to ensure that the entire unit or units of land will be so treated to achieve the conservation objectives.

  • Pro-Vice-Chancellor means the Pro-Vice Chancellor of the University;

  • Amended and Restated Bylaws means the Amended and Restated Bylaws of the Fund in effect at the time the Registration Statement relating to the Preferred Shares is declared effective by the Securities and Exchange Commission, specifying the powers, preferences and rights of the Preferred Shares.

  • Corrections support staff member means an adult or juvenile

  • Traineeship Agreement means an agreement made subject to the terms of this award between an employer and the trainee for a traineeship and which is registered with the appropriate state training authority, NETTFORCE, or under the provisions of the appropriate state legislation. A traineeship agreement shall be made in accordance with the relevant approved traineeship scheme and shall not operate unless this condition is met.

  • Effective TBD means that the date is to be determined by further Commission action. A date listed as "anticipated effective" may be subject to change. An Advice Letter Supplement is not a new filing, and there is no protest period unless indicated.
