Rural Lands definition

Rural Lands means a parcel of land which is situated outside the boundaries of a city, town, village, summer village or a specialized municipality;
Rural Lands means all lands which are not within an urban growth area and are not designated as natural resource lands having long-term commercial significance for production of agricultural products, timber, or the extraction of minerals.
Rural Lands means those areas outside of the designated Resource Lands and Urban Growth Areas.

  • A use that is not listed in Chapters 130.21 (Agricultural, Rural Lands, and Resources Zones) through 130.26 (▇▇▇▇▇▇ Community Plan (MCP) Zone), and is determined by the Director to not be included in Article 8 (Glossary) under the definition of a listed use, is not allowed within the County, except as otherwise provided in Subsection A.3 below, or Section 130.20.040 (Exemptions from Planning Permit Requirements).

  • The uses allowed by this Ordinance are listed in Chapters 130.21 (Agricultural, Rural Lands, and Resources Zones) through 130.25 (Special Purpose Zones), together with the type of planning permit required for each use.

  • Agricultural enterprise is intended to be the primary use of these lands, but compatible commercial uses, as listed in Table 130.21.020 (Agricultural, Rural Lands and Resource Zone Districts Use Matrix) below, may also be allowed in compliance with the provisions of this Chapter.

Rural Lands means lands situated outside the geographical boundaries of the Ward of Almonte, the Hamlets of Clayton, Pakenham, Blakeney, Appleton, whose boundaries are identified in the Municipality’s Zoning By-law and outside all areas of registered plans of subdivision.

Rural Lands means different things to different people. Rural lands could mean broad expanses of undeveloped land, sparsely populated areas, open space, the presence of agricultural fields, large single family lots, and limited development in general. Typically, Rural Lands are those areas in the county outside the UGA boundaries and among the resource areas, neither intended for urban-type development nor well suited for agricultural, forest, or mineral resource extraction. These rural areas contain: single-family homes on various-sized lots and parcels, including recorded surveys; subdivisions and short plats; small-scale agricultural and timber operations; and commercial and industrial operations. Industrial and commercial uses in rural areas do not require urban levels of service provided they are compatible with the surrounding rural land uses. The rural areas serve as transition areas between Urban Lands and Resource Lands, and retain the rural or agrarian character of the County while also providing for a diversity of lifestyle choices to residents.
Rural Lands means all lands situated within the Township of Montague save and except for the areas locally known as Atironto, Carsville, Woods and Andrewsville and shown on Schedule “A” attached hereto and made part of this By-law..
