School Discipline definition

School Discipline means and includes all discipline allowed by Applicable Law regarding school, including detention, in-school suspension, out-of-school suspension, expulsion and assignment to an alternative program for disruptive youth.
School Discipline. The student is assigned Friday School (1:00-3:00pm) during which time the student will complete school work and school beautification. Failure to attend or complete Friday School may result in a three (3) day in-school suspension. Students assigned to Friday School may not attend after school activities on the assigned day and will need to prearrange for someone to pick them up at 3:00pm as district transportation is not available at that time.
School Discipline. The parents hereby confirm that they accept the authority of the Head and of other members of staff on the Head's behalf to take all reasonable disciplinary or preventative action necessary to safeguard and promote the welfare of each pupil and the school community as a whole. The School's Behaviour Policy which is current at the time applies to all pupils when they are on school premises, or in the care of the School, or wearing school uniform, or otherwise representing or associated with the School. 61 Investigative Action: A complaint or rumour of misconduct will be investigated. A pupil may be questioned and his belongings may be searched in appropriate circumstances. All reasonable care will be taken to protect the pupil's human rights and freedoms and to ensure that his parents are informed as soon as reasonably practicable after it becomes clear that the pupil may face formal disciplinary action, and also to make arrangements for the pupil to be accompanied and assisted by a parent, education guardian or a teacher of the pupil's choice.

  • The Charter School Discipline Policy must comply with NRS Chapter 392 or other applicable statute or regulation pertaining to student discipline.

  • Charter School shall comply with the terms of the School Discipline Policy and School Climate ▇▇▇▇ of Rights resolution adopted by the LAUSD Board of Education on May 6, 2013.

  • Should discipline in a school be in jeopardy because of inadequate security arrangements or repeated lack of procedural enforcement it shall be the right of the school Faculty Council or School Discipline Committee to request assistance through the Central Administration and/or the ASSOCIATION.

  • When the offense is serious enough to warrant suspension of the student in accordance with the School Board policy and/or the School Discipline Plan, such referred student will not be returned to the teacher’s class the same period (or 30 minutes in elementary school) from which the student was referred unless he/she is escorted by an administrator or a written explanation from same stating his/her reasons for the student’s return accompanies the student.

  • This does not prohibit the SRO from independently investigating student conduct which involves violations of law, even if the same student conduct which violates the law also results in disciplinary action by District administration (see Paragraph 13, Joint Law Enforcement and School Discipline Investigations, below).

  • The Board and the Union agree at the opening of each school year to establish a joint School Discipline Committee to provide a continuing study of discipline and the School Discipline Handbook within the school and to make recommendations for their improvement.

  • The School Discipline Review Committee shall design and implement a program of schoolwide student behavior expectations which shall include a proactive discipline program, including consequences.

  • Progressive discipline means a process of applying and documenting disciplinary actions progressing from less to more serious depending on the employee’s history and the nature of the offense.

  • School nurse means a registered professional nurse with Maine Department of Education certification for school nursing.

"School service" does not include a website, mobile application, or online service that is designed and marketed for use by individuals or entities generally, even if it is also marketed for use in elementary or secondary schools.
