Examples of Sovereign Risk in a sentence
A "Sovereign Risk" shall mean nationalization, expropriation, devaluation, revaluation, confiscation, seizure, cancellation, destruction or similar action by any governmental authority, de facto or de jure; or enactment, promulgation, imposition or enforcement by any such governmental authority of currency restrictions, exchange controls, taxes, levies or other charges affecting the Fund's property; or acts of war, terrorism, insurrection or revolution.
The Fund confirms that its Board or investment adviser has considered and accepted the Sovereign Risk and prevailing Country Risk as part of its continuing investment decision process.
It is also understood that the Fund agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Custodian and its nominee for any loss arising from a foreign currency transaction or contract, where the loss results from a Sovereign Risk (as hereinafter defined) or where any Person maintaining securities, currencies, deposits or other Assets of the Fund in connection with any such transactions has exercised reasonable care maintaining such property or in connection with any such transaction involving such Assets.
