STEP system definition

STEP system which means a septic tank effluent pump system, meeting the standards and specifications of the city engineer (hereinafter "engineer"), shall be permitted as an alternative to the standard sewer used in the city. Such system shall be owned, operated, and maintained by the city as provided in this section.
STEP system means septic tank effluent pumping sewer systems consisting of a liquid/solids separation tank with a pumping system discharging into the gravity sewer system.
