Tier I definition

Tier I means a system or plan under this title for which:
Tier I or “Tier II” means the designation assigned to an Executive on Appendix A as adopted and in effect immediately prior to a Change in Control.
Tier I at any time when at least two of the Short-Term Ratings are at or above the A-1, P-1 or F-1 levels.

Examples of Tier I in a sentence

  • Any employee who deferred retirement prior to the December 15, 2000, Ventura II settlement agreement who subsequently rejoins the retirement association shall be enrolled in Tier I General/Miscellaneous or Tier I Safety.

  • Any employee occupying a permanent position who promotes, demotes or transfers from a Safety classification to a General/Miscellaneous classification, or vice versa, shall be enrolled in the corresponding retirement tier (e.g., Tier I Safety membership shall end and Tier I General/Miscellaneous membership shall begin; Tier II Safety membership shall end and Tier II General/Miscellaneous membership shall begin).

  • Effective July 1, 2011, for all Tier I employees regardless of their date of hire, the Tier I retirement formula and a flat-rated employee retirement contribution of seven percent (7%) was implemented and shall be continued.

  • If we continue to grow our loan portfolio and asset base, we will be required to raise additional Tier I and Tier II capital in order to continue to meet applicable capital adequacy ratios with respect to our business.

  • NSHE institutions will report annually the Tier I MWDBE vendor expenditures for the most recently completed fiscal year.


More Definitions of Tier I

Tier I means Tier I alternative energy sources as defined in the AEPS Act.
Tier I means a system or plan under this title for which an employee is eligible
Tier I. For unit members hired prior to July 1, 2011, such plan shall be 2.7% at fifty-five (55) PERS plan and the "single highest year" amendment.

Tier I means a basic process of permitting which includes application, notice to the landowner and Department review. For the Tier I process a permit shall be issued or denied by a technical supervisor of the reviewing Division or local representative of the Department provided such authority has been delegated thereto by the Executive Director;
Tier I. Means the Supplier with a direct contractual relationship with Navistar;
Tier I means that the Senior Unsecured Debt Rating of the Borrower is at least either (a) A+ by S&P or (b) A1 by Moody’s.
